Female genitalia malpositions

Anomalies of persistent character and accompanied by violated correlations between different parts of the reproductive system.

Classification of female genitalia malpositions1. Uterine displacement in the pelvic cavity.

(A) Horizontal plane: (Antedisplacement, retrodisplacement, lateral displacement)(B) Vertical plane: (ascent of uterus, descent of uterus, prolapse of uterus – partial and complete)

2. Violated correlations between different parts of the uterus. (A) Pathological uterine versions: (anteversion, retroversion, lateroversion)

(B) Uterine flexions: (Anteflexion, retroflexion, lateroflexion, combination – retrodeviation.

(C) Rotation of uterus,(D) Torsion of uterus,(E) Inversion of uterus

Etiology of female genitalia malpositions1. Conditioning factors.

Heredity, race, neurological state, connective tissue condition, anatomical peculiarities

2. Initiating factors.Delivery, surgical interventions, injuries of the pelvic organs and tissues, radiation damage.

3. Influencing factors.Intestinal dysfunction, physical hyperactivity, overweight, pulmonary obstructive diseases.

4. Decompensating factors.Advanced age and senile agemenopauseMental state

Diagnosis of female genitalia malpositions

Complaints of patient.General gynecological examination.Bimanual examination.US of the pelvic cavity.Laparoscopy.

Physiological causes, no treatment.Pathological, eliminate the reason which

caused uterine disposition.Anti-Inflammatory therapy (inflammatory

processes).Gynecological massage.Surgical interventions (tumors, descent and

prolapse of uterus)

Surgical operations for genital prolapse

Prophylaxis of female genitalia malpostions.

Timely bowel and bladder emptying (Infancy)
