As is so often the case in our greenhouse industry,

NEW does not always mean new genetics. Although

some of the items presented in this catalog are first timers, most have

been around for a year or two, but have just now found their way

into the Malmborg lineup. So, in an effort to keep things simple, yet

complete, we are presenting a catalog that includes a complete listing

of varieties offered by Malmborg’s, a picture of each new selection and

highlight pictures of some of the more popular varieties. One of the

new “up and comers” is actually a group of items, the combination

plugs. We are offering 18 combinations within a genus and 7 mixed

genus combinations.

The catalog has been divided into 3 sections – Geraniums, Combina-

tions and Spring Vegetative, The Spring Vegetative section is pre-

sented in alphabetical order identified along the side of each page

and in an index in the back of the catalog. There is also some excel-

lent information about trucking and transportation at the back of the

catalog. For additional information and more photos, please visit our

web-site at www.malmborgs.com.

When wework

together,growers

win!

We know our region better than anyone else, and we understand your frustrations with freight costs. Can we do something about it?

Yes, we can!

Malmborgs and Wagners are combining their resources to develop route delivery of young plants in our region. Not only will this cooperation help control shipping costs, it will also result in increased service to growers. By pooling our deliveries in a region, we increase our shipping effi-ciencies, freeing resources to allow better delivery cover-age and committed routes. The end result: better delivery options for you!

How can you take advantage of our cooperation and get your young plants delivered to your door? First, help us pool orders as much as possible by targeting delivery weeks in cooperation with other growers along your route (see routes and dates on the next page). Second, give Malmborgs or Wag-ners a call if you have questions. Third, book your orders as you normally would, we’ll take care of all the little details.

ORDER INFORMATION:Our minimum order is two boxes of any combination of product per shipment. See ‘PACKAGING’ on the next page for quantities of plants per box.

Order acknowledgments will be provided for each order booked and must be reviewed by the broker for accuracy. Malmborg’s will not accept liability for error on any order or portion of an order shipped as acknowledged.

Order revisions or cancellations will be accepted up to four weeks prior to the scheduled ship date. Brokers who revise or change orders within four weeks of shipment will be expected to resell or otherwise dispose of the product at their cost.

SHIPPING:Airline shipments are made collect to the customer via your choice of carriers. Federal Express shipments are shipped second day unless requested otherwise. Malmborg’s will not be held responsible for damage caused to plants during transit. If the number of boxes for a Federal Express shipment is more then 5 boxes, it may be shipped FedEx First Freight depending on the level of service to the area. Shipping instructions must be submitted with your order.

There is a winter pack(Styrofoam lining of box) charge of $4.00 per box for shipments that require cold protection. This will occur from week 1 through week 13 approximately for those orders that are shipped either FedEx or Air.

Page 25: Malmborg's Greenhouse 2010 Catalog

LABELS:WE WILL PROVIDE ONE LABEL FOR EACH PLANT PURCHASED, whether or not the plant is patented. You can limit the number of labels on an order to a ratio of the number of plants ordered. The minimum ratio is 1 label for 5 plants (in multiples of 25 labels) for patented varieties and zero for non-patented varieties.

PACKAGING:Preforma 26 strip is sold as 25. They are shipped in multiples of 100. The new packaging setup will allow us to put either 100 , 200, or 300 in a box. That determinations will depend on the product size at shipping time. Most all products in the Preforma 26 strip will be shipped 300 in a box. A minimum order will be 400 plants if only the Preforma 26 strip is ordered. Once 400 plants are ordered, then the increments will be every 100 plants for even boxing for shipping freight. Please remember that for customers either picking up product or having it delivered by Malmborg’s/Wagner’s, those orders do not have to be multiples of 100.

Ellepot 32, Ellepot 50, and standard 50 tray is shipped in multiples of two trays. Each box contains two trays of any of these trays listed. These cannot be combined in the boxes with the Preforma 26 strip. A minimum order for any of these trays would be 4 trays to fill two boxes. For even boxing for freight, every order must have increments of two trays of any of the items in these tray categories.

What would be a minimum order when combining different trays? If you have two trays of either the 32 or 50 trays, then you would need 200 of the Preforma 26.
