A Venda film producer and reggae artist, Tshidino Ndou has joined the fashion world by opening a clothing label called Vhadino Fashion.

The multi-talented Tshidino said that he is currently launching his clothing label around the country. Some of the branded T-Shirts found at Vhadino Fashion include; Munwe na munwe u na zwine a tenda khazwo, Ri khou phusha lyf, Shumela Venda, Mana a mutukana a si vhumatshelo hawe, Vhumatshelo Hanu Vhu Zwandani Zwanu and Ndi Bva Venda (I am from Venda-So What).

Tshidino said that fashion has always been his passion. He is happy with the way the brand is supported by his film and music fans. “My aim is not to rip anyone off and I’m not doing it to become a millionaire. I’m doing it

because there’s a lack of stuff out there of the things people want to relate to,” He said.

Munwe na munwe u na zwine a tenda khazwo hit maker said that he realised the need for local branded clothes when people always wanted to buy Vhadino Entertainment’s branded clothes.

Tshidino also added that the label played off her sexy persona, style, and attitude and targeted the 10 to 40-year-old group. “My branding will appeal to those who want to support my products,” Tshidino said. This hard worker from Tshakhuma also has an eye for movies. He completed 7 movies to date. His first movie, Hu do dzula nnyi featured Muvhango actors, Vho-Mukondeleli and Vho-Masindi.

Tshidino is also shooting a scary movie titled “Nwana O Ngalangala” which is scheduled for release in June this year. The movie has been funded by Dzhatsha Films.

Anyone who is interested in Vhadino Fashion can contact Vhadino Entertainment @073 6120 155 or send email to [email protected].

Mulalo Hulumeni (14) came to Makoya’s offices to fetch 100 Papers by Liesl Jobson, a book that she had won in one of the Makoya give-away competitions. The Makoya team joined her for a pic.

She produced a file in which she keeps past issues of Makoya. Soon she was showing us an exercise book filled with poems, and instantly she became ‘A Gal of da Moment’.

“I thank Makoya for having been part of my life so far,” Mulalo says profusely. “Some people used to discourage me at school, when they saw me writing poems. But I didn’t listen to what they were saying.”

She says that her mom motivates her to continue reading poetry and trying her hand at it, and she does.

Not long ago, one of her poems, “I AM AN ACHIEVER”, was published in Makoya. Mulalo is a Grade 9 pupil at Makhado Comprehensive High School, and her favourite subjects are Life Orientation and English.

This gal’s ambition is to become a social worker and newsreader, but she is quick to add that she won’t leave writing poetry behind. “My love of poetry drives me insane,” so says words inscribed on the cover of her exercise book.

“What I can say to my peers out there is this: Never allow anyone to trample on you,” she says, looking quite serious for her age. “Stay away from things like alcohol, smoking and wasting your time doing nothing. Now concentrate on your studies.”

Makoya reader turns out to be a huge fan!

Life goes on for Shandukani Netsianda

Makoya in the company of LoveLife, drove all the way from Louis Trichardt to Vhangani Village, near Ha-Masia, to meet with a boy who has lost both parents to death at the age of two.

As it may appear, we didn’t go there to pity or make a circus out of him, but instead, to learn; to know that even when we do not have parents, life has to go on ...

Shandukani Netsianda is a 19-year-old, Grade 8 pupil at Mudinane Secondary School at Vhangani Village. At the age of two, he lost first his father, after a long illness, and then his mother followed shortly. When he started to be conscious of the world around him, he realised that he had a maternal grandmother, grandfather and an uncle living with him in the same yard.

“My biggest problem has been growing up without parents, although I’ve now tried to come to terms with

the fact that they are not here,” Shandukani said, reflectively.

Growing up without any of his biological parents around had been impacting badly on his character. At times he would disagree with his guardians in regard to the way they were bringing him up. He felt that they were

misusing his forster care grant when they should have bought him childhood necessities, such as warm clothes in winter and a full school uniformm so he ran up and down now and then, from his grandmother’s to a distant aunt. These movements resulted in him quitting school.

In 2008, Shandukani met LoveLife goGogetter, Vho-Grace Mabadzhe. She acted as his morale developer, and that alone helped strengthen Shandukani’s character. He was back in school, and active.

Today Shandukani aspires to work in the police field upon completion of his studies, but he adds that, if he does not manage to study in that field, since his academic progress is not that satisfactory, he would like to study carpentry at a skills institution.

Vho-Grace describes Shandukani as a positive persone, who will one day get somewhere in life. “He is a strong friend of my own granddaughter Vhuyi,” she says.

Vhuyi Maphasha (18), a Grade12 pupil at Mudinane, says that Shandukani does not confide in her. “He’s had wrong friends before,” she says. “He can’t tell you everything Shandukani Netsianda.

Shandukani Netsianda and his guardian from LoveLife.

and I think it’s not good because it eats him alone. Even though I am in Grade12 myself, we study together.”

During our conversation with Shandukani, the best thing that strikes one about him is his sweet smile. This smile sticks in my mind vividly, as we drive back to Louis Trichardt.

** Nicodemic’s home coming battle ** Have you heard? Your Boy Nicodemic is back and

for good, does this mean that he is leaving Mac-Fam? Rumour has it going that he is working with FFLR (Future Front Line Records). Mac-Fam what’s happening? Are you going solo before you even started, I wonder. Apparently there is a huge Battle between Bomo Entertainment. Nicodemic and Cool-felo have two diss mix tapes out they said “Bomo you are old, Move over. It’s our time to play and diss” Then Bomo comes back and say “(he didn’t mind his language) and cool-felo stop

stuttering”. Now I wonder who won because BOMO is said to have stolen their beats.

“Ha-ha-ha” Copycat. Nicodemic’s Debut Album is out

and it’s kicking bottoms.

Same age different model! Old-felo or should I say Cool-felo “the Diss Master” was

performing @ Shumapark when he was on stage, his fans were wondering who this guy

is. When we said it’s

“Don’t even start, I just needed to see how I look without my dreads” Percy wrote on his facebook page, He has grown his hair

since he was 4, but now people like I said, its 20change. He tried washing them, but

hey no man likes hairdryers. Finally, he decided to call it Quits. From Marley look

to Chris Brown look. He changed his image

Artist: UsherSingle: ClimaxRatings: 4/5

He has been around and still keeping cool, His name is Usher Raymond.

He was in the country a couple of days back performing at Orlando Stadium. From the days of “you got it bad”, he is back with a wonderful jam “climax”. I have heard few remixes of this song and it just doesn’t lose its vibe. The moment I listened to this song I wasn’t sure if I love it because of the influence and I decided to keep it on repeat just to find out, it is just magic. His name is Usher and I guess it means something to you!

Cool-felo, everyone denied it and they said that he looks like an old man.

Cool-felo, get yourself a face wash and rub that Puzzah-face before you turn 70 in three days and counting. Limit fermented water your fans still want

more. If you want to diss try Cool-felo he will put you in your place, Yeses!

to Short hair I wonder how he looks. Ladies, it’s about time.

What is happening to Rasta’s this year? It’s like

Dreadlocks getting out of fashion, maybe its Mo hog year. First it

was it was Mizophyll now its Post, I hope you still remember where you put them. Ek se, you might

need them.
