What is BYOD4L?
This is an open learning event for students & teachers
(facilitated, stand-alone) It provides a development
opportunity to help them build competence and
confidence in using smart devices for learning and
teaching.
Each day we will focus on a different topic related to
using your mobile device to enhance your teaching
and learning based on the 5Cs of mobile learning
(Nerantzi & Beckingham 2014) For more details

• Staff and students can access and
download course materials on their
mobile device.
• Logging onto the site brings the user
to a mobile friendly form of their
course.
• Users can switch to desktop version
and access all the features that a PC

What is a Tweet Chat?
A TweetChat is a virtual meeting or gathering on Twitter to discuss a common topic. The
chat usually lasts one hour and will include some questions to stimulate discussion.
Questions will be preceded with Q1, Q2, Q3 etc
For example: Q1 What apps or services do you use to connect with others online?

Create an account on Twitter and then use the search facility to find #BYOD4L
How do I take part?
If you wish to respond to a question include the hashtag #BYOD4L
within your tweet and precede your tweet with A1, A2, A3 etc.

No you don’t though your contributions will be valued! By following the hashtag #BYOD4L
