A NOTE FROM YOUR PASTOR

PASTOR KAYLA GREHLI don’t know about you, but I am looking forward to the warmer weather, longer days, the beauty of God’s Earth as Winter fades away and the world cries out Welcome Spring!!! With Spring on the horizon so is the Easter Season, and Holy Week—the time in the church year where we walk the path of Hosanna’s on Sunday, Crucify! Crucify! on Friday, and Hallelujah’s He Has Risen on Sunday… Can you imagine standing there at the foot of the cross with the original disciples? With the darkness consuming the land and watching as He cries out and gives up His Spirit. Today we feel the loss, we feel the darkness; but we know that Sunday is coming, and the stone will be rolled away. The disciples they didn't, they stayed in that place of darkness, of fear, of not knowing what was going to happen next. So just for today, can you stay there? Stay in that place of darkness, of fear, of not knowing what's coming next and feel the full effects of what this Good Friday means. Allow yourself to be reminded of

For those of you who may not know at the beginning of the year it was decided that our Newsletter schedule would be changing from monthly to quarterly. With the creation of a new and active website, an office email address and our other online presences we are working on the three C’s: Content, Communication, and Connection. Making sure our content is meaningful and isn’t reptiative in nature, having more ways for the community and all of you to communicate with us and for us to communicate with you, and having more ways to connect with memebers, guest and more. We are still going to be mailing out any important event flyers and more. With the new changes we would like to know how you would like to receive the newsletter? 1. EASTER SCHEDULE 3-24-18 Palm Sunday: A service of Hymns and Readings

3-29-18 Maundy Thursday Station Service Starting 6:30-8:00. This is a service of differet stations come at your own covience and leave when you need to.

3-30-18 Good Friday Cluster Service 7:00 PM Host is Sellserburg UMC

3-31-18 Easter Bible School 10:00 AM-2:00 PM The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 2:00 PM.

SUSAGE SUPPER

This year’s Sausage Supper is fast approaching. What a great time of year for fellowship and serving the community. Let your friends, co-workers, and family know about our event. Yard signs, the Church sign, and Facebook publications will go out after Easter. This is the Church’s one main fund-raiser for the year, so the more we communicate the better!We appreciate all that have already volunteered to help. For those that have not and want to volunteer we welcome you and will find a perfect job for you to serve. Don’t forget that our “patty party” begins at 5:30pm on Friday. We need all the helpers that we can to prepare patties for cooking and bagging the sausage for sales. The congregation volunteers are needed from 2:00pm to 7:30pm on Saturday to help serve, cook, and clean. Contact Judy or Donna for volunteer information. And, lastly, but most importantly, we need desserts from anyone who can prepare and bring desserts prior to 2:00pm on Saturday.
