MAKE A POWER POINT

• You and a partner will go through my slides on this power point

• Each slide will give you directions on how to make your own power point

• Follow the links provided to research the information for each slide

• Have fun, be creative, and make your presentation unique.

PLAGERISM

1. DO NOT cut and paste ANY information

2. Taking someone else’s work and saying that it is your own is plagiarism.

3. Plagiarism is against school rules

4. Write EVERYTHING in your own words.

3 RULES OF POWER POINT

1. Each slide should only have 3 ideas on it.

2. Each slide should not have more than 6 sentences on it.

3. Font and colors should be used to make the slide easier to read, not make it confusing.

• Open up a brand new empty power point slide show

• Follow the directions on each of my slides to make your own

presentation.

• Keep both presentations open at the same time to go back and forth.

Use the above link to make a slide that deals with the introduction of plate tectonics

You should define plate tectonics and give some examples of the effects of

plate tectonics

REMEMBER THE 3 RULES OF POWER POINT!

Use the link above , again, to mention how these three scientists helped devise the Theory of Plate tectonics

SCIENTISTS

1. Use the above link to make a slide about Alfred Wegener and his accomplishments

2. Insert a picture of Alfred Wegener

Alfred Wegener

• The above link gives you information on the evidence for Wegener’s Theory.

• Use this and the next slide to explain what the evidence for the theory is.

• The above link has links to info on the three different plate boundaries

• On the right hand side of the page you will find all three boundaries

• Make a slide for each boundary

• Include a picture for each slide
