Introduction As required by the EIS Guidelines, this Appendix contains a detailed summary of Prodigy Gold’s communications to date with federal and provincial government agencies. These include federal agencies, e.g., the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency); the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO); Environment Canada; Transport Canada; Natural Resources Canada; and provincial agencies, e.g., the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MNRF); the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM); the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change (MOECC); the Ministry of Labour (MOL); the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport; the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing; and the Ministry of Community and Social Services.

Appendix 3-1 is structured as follows:

Section 1 provides a detailed chronology of selected Agency engagement and communications to date, as provided in a separate table for each Agency group. Communications to date is presented chronologically from early engagement up until December 15, 2016.

Appendix 3-2 includes a sample of selected materials from Agency communications to date.

Note: Engagement activities and communications after December 15, 2016 are excluded from this Draft EIS, as are proposed future dates of engagement e.g., meetings.

Section 1: Chronology of Government Communications This section of the Appendix documents Prodigy Gold’s communications to date with federal and provincial government agencies prior to submission of this EIS. Communications includes submission of key Project documentation (e.g., the PDR), meetings, presentations, and key correspondence related to topics and mandates/interests of each government agency1. These are presented chronologically in a table for each Federal Government agency, followed by Ontario Government ministries.

1 The chronology will not be a detailed record of every single telephone call/email, only communications with significance in terms of the EA process (e.g., submission of key documents, directions, decisions, actions).
