The Days and Hours of the Sun are very good forperfecting experiments regarding temporal wealth, hope,

gain, fortune, divination, the favour of princes, to dissolvehostile feeling, and to make friends.

Similarly the four several numbers of the Sun are 6,36, 111, and 666.

Another more prosaic example of tracing sigils fromthe magical squares can be demonstrated by taking myfirst name ISRAEL, and converting it into Hebrew, thus:

Some of the symbols on the Tarot cards could bereproduced to great advantage on the talismans, if the student

wishes. For instance, if he were making a talisman to producepleasure and joy, the Ace of Cups in any of the conventionalpacks is a beautiful symbol to be copied in ink or painted on tothe silver crescent of Apas.For spiritual help in the hour of trouble, the sword andcrown of the Ace of Swords which literally means evokedstrengthwould be an ideal symbol to transpose on the bluecircle of Vayu. The need for change in an otherwise dullpoverty-stricken existence could well be represented by theTwo of Pentacles in the Golden Dawn suit.

So what should a wisman look like? A talisman should have an appropriate sha~ .

A talisman should reRect che four levels of the universe.

A talisman should contain the divine names from (he sphereson the Tree of Life.

A talisman should contain the names of the archangel of the appropriatesphere on the Tree of Life, and the names of the intelligence and the spirit.A talisman should comain the symbol and seal of the appropriate planet.A talisman should contain an intention that draws together all the names

A talisman should be appropriately colored.

Making a talisman reHect the four-level nature of the universe is simple. You dividethe talisman into four levels: the outer ring is the divine level, the next is thelevel of archangels, the next is the level of angels, and the remaining level is the

Each of the four levels should be appropriately colored. The divine level shouldbe paimed in the King scale, the archangelic level in the Queen scale, the Angeliclevel in the Emperor scale, and the material level in the EmprCS$ scale.
