From New! Magazine front magazine we can recognise that it is a cheaper magazine by the bright colours that are used such as yellow and pink and the layout is vey busy which is a common convention in a cheap magazine. Also in comparison to the vogue magazine we can see the difference of quality and can see how vogue is classier and more expensive from the colours used and also the quality of the paper used. Also we can recognise the different socio economic class for the different magazine as we can identify a lower class to by new! Magazine as it is cheaper. Also the font used is different which also identifies the difference in magazines as new! Uses sans serif font whereas Vogue used serif font which shows that is more formal and a sophisticating magazine. Also it uses a pug which is conventional is a cheap magazine as they are trying to promoted the magazine for its

price in order to attract the audience. Where are these kind of magazines sold?

New magazine is sold in shops such as Tesco’s, news agencies. They are distributed here because they are common shops we use everyday which attracts the target audience because they wouldn’t go out their way to buy it.

From Bliss magazine front cover we can recognise that the magazine attracts the target audience of the working class from the price of £2.50. Also in comparison with the new! Magazine bliss has used less of a variety of colours which identifies the difference in prices as the magazine looks less busy. However. They both use bright colours which also show they are both of the genres of gossip magazine and are also used to gage the audience to read the magazine. Also there is still a major difference between the vogue magazine and bliss and new! As vogue magazine is far more quality compared to the other magazines.

Bliss magazine is very similar to New! Magazine. They are both distributed at shops such Tesco’s and new agencies. They are distributed here because they are common shops we use everyday which attracts the target audience because they wouldn’t go out their way to buy it.

From the vogue magazine front cover we can identify that the magazine is worth more than an average cost of a magazine of £3.99 which is shown by the different colours used such as black, grey and white which makes the magazine look very classy and subtle compared to the other magazines which look very busy and loud from the bright colours used. Also the use of the serif masthead is used which portrays the magazine as being more formal and also attract the target audience of people who from a higher economic social class. Also unlike magazines price Free-£2.00, the price of the magazine is normally hidden or placed in small font because it does appeal to the audience as much and instead attracts the audience for the quality of the magazine.

Where are these kind of magazines sold?

Vogue magazine would be distributed in shops such a WHsmith’s which fits with the socio economic class as people for a higher class are more likely to shop in jobs such as WHsmiths.
