Masthead
The typography of this issue is quite soft and curved, suggesting a quite relaxed, informal and fun theme to the cover, the connotations usually associated with pop and dance music. The stark white colour of the title allows the title to stand out against the dark background of the cover.
Model credit
The credit is situated right in the middle of the cover, which will attract reader's attention as it takes up alot of room whilst also allowing a clear picture of the cover models so that the audience can distinguish who they are.
Coverlines
The cover lines will attract readers as one is offering the chance to win a DJ set in Ibiza, which fans of this style of music will enjoy and the promotion of a new album will attract readers as they will be intrigued to discover new music within the genre.
Main cover line
'The world's biggest dance music and clubbing magazine' suggests that it is the best magazine in the entire world for information for that particular genre of music.
Colour
The colour scheme of the cover is very plain and dull with a dark grey background and white and grey text, which is very unusual as these colours aren't really associated with dance music and clubbing
Photography Lighting
The lighting is high key, which is especially essential and effective with this cover since there are five models on the cover and the high key lighting allows the reader to clearly see the faces of every model and recognise who they are.
Comment on how the design of the magazine cover attracts the target audience:
Main Image
The main image consists of the five members of a group and having them all in shot emphasises that they are a group. However, the man in the middle is the more dominant of the group as he is larger and more of his body is shown when compared to the rest of the group, suggesting that he is possibly the most well known of the group and that he will be more likely to attract fans to the magazine.
