The image has been edited to make it black and white, reflecting the dark colours and the indie edgy style effectively.

Masthead & SublinesThe masthead is in large bold block capitals. The font shows the magazines serious nature, the colours of the masthead also reflects with the subject image. The subline in the image cuts across the center. This is in a much more colorful vibrant pink colours, this makes the magazine more noticeable and colorful, it also contrasts well with the black.

The line underneath the sell line shows the reader what else is inside the magazine. It persuades people to read the magazine because it makes it seem like the content in this magazine is not elsewhere. The pink font helps it to stand out. The font goes well with the rest of the front cover also.

Lily Allen has her hands placed on her hips, representing her dominance showing she is in control. This also links in with the heading, showing she is making a strong statement about herself. The masthead catches viewers attention as it is a quote from Lily which is not made up by the author. This gives the reader the idea what her article is about showing her forward bold opinion making the article more interesting.The fonts and colours used are in bold, this represents Lily’s personality as she follows ‘what you see is what you get’.
