Our goal: To increase environmental awareness and promote green activism by
greening our building and community
Accomplishments: 2011-2012
• Hosted Green Week - Raised awareness of energy consumption at West - Reduced energy consumption level by over 10%! (Saved $400 in four days!) • Started up People.Power.Planet initiative at West
- Live meter of school energy consumption - Start of communal environmental awareness

• Hosted Electronic Recycling Drive - Made $800 in four hours! • Bike Mile Challenge (Fall
and Spring) • Recycling in the LMC: cell
phones, batteries, shoes - Recycled over 50 lbs of phones
Green Week Results • Saved 10.7% (or 420 kilowatt-hours) of energy consumption per day
• Would save district $12,000 to $14,000 annually, if implemented permanently

Blue Line -= kWh for Wed. 1-11-2012
