Unpack the cabinet (A), (accessories) or stand(B), (accessories) and assemble accordingto the enclosed separate instructions.

2 strong people are required to lift themachine onto the cabinet or stand. Beware offingers! Risk of injury!

Plug into socket.

• Press S button O ➞ backgauge I moves tothe rear and searches for the referenceposition, wait until a measurement of38,5 cm or 15,16 inch is shown in thedisplay D .

Warning!Before storing or cutting a measurementplease check if the correct measurementscale (cm or inch) is stored. How to store seebelow picture on the left.

Dimensions control - cutting to specifieddimensions• Enter dimension at the numerical key pad Q

➞ LED "S" X appears.• Press S button ➞ dimension is approached,

➞ LED "S" disappears.Dimensions below 9 cm can only beapproached with the S button held pressed.(When the start button O is released, thebackgauge I moves to a measurementof 9 cm ➞ measurement 9 cm blinks, nowpush again the start button, backgauge Imoves to for example 7 cm).

• Insert paper and move by means of thestacking angle to the backgauge I and sidelay at the left J.

• Close the safety guard A.• Move the pressing lever E to the left by a

slight swing.• Release the cutting.

Cut according to markings• Adjust the backgauge with the hand-wheel

G to the back.• Insert paper and move by means of the

stacking angle to the backgauge I and leftside-lay J.

• Turn rotary control G to the right until themarking on the paper to be cut is below thecutting line indicator. The further the rotarycontrol is turned to the right, the faster thebackgauge moves. Return of the backgaugeis quick by turning the rotary control to theleft.

• Close the safety guard A.

• Move the pressing lever E to the left by a slightswing.

• Release the cut.

Eject functionIf the z button is kept pressed the backgaugeI moves to a measurement of 9 cm (Basicadjustment) and when released the z buttonreturns to the measurement last set.If the z button is released while thebackgauge moves to the front, thebackgauge stops and moves back to themeasurement which has been set last time.

Cutting activation Warning!

• Run backgauge to the front for turning thepaper stack.

• Do not interrupt the upward movement of theblade by performing switching procedures.

• Release blade only when LED "S" has goneout.

• Close the front guard A .• Blade must always be at the top and be

covered by the clamp. Do not touch theblade - risk of injury! (see securityinformation on page 34).
