- MacroView: Generic functionalities of macro-editing tools are implemented (and tested) once

- Scripts are used to combine these functionalities into a customer-tailored macro-editing tool

- Decisions about the functionalities needed were made based on:- Brainstorm and review sessions with analysts from various

statistical departments- A short literature review- Continuous feedback and requests from (new) users after the

launch of the first production version
