Electric Engineering

• Knowledge areas: Whereas this branch of engineering is more abstract tan others, forming an electrical engineer requires a mathematical basis for abstraction and understanding of electromagnetic phenomena

Deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Applies knowledge of sciences like physics and mathematics to desing systems and equipment that can generate, transport, distribute and use electrical power. 

Performance areas: Control, protection and measurement of electrical systems: Design, implement, evaluate, maintain and install the systems and equipment that the control, protection and measurement of production, consumption, transport and use legislation electricity.
