A GREAT REGION TO PLAYOne of our favorite places toplay this great game is in andaround the sand hills ofNebraska and Colorado. Thenew adage of "brown is good"has played out here for manyyears, initially with the amazingCoore and Crenshaw creationof Sand Hills in Mullen, Neb.Other wonderful courses have
followed, including the Tom Doak designed Ballyneal andNicklaus designed Dismal River. Todd recently played the newcourse at Dismal, which is designed by Tom Doak, and he wasenthralled with what he experienced. If you have some time todrive to these magnificent courses that are "in the land" we highlyrecommend all of them. Sand Hills and Ballyneal are private, butthat's never stopped you before has it?
TODD'S TIPS - TWO GREAT ARTISTSAs a company that focuses onquality and aesthetic, we trulyappreciate the wonderful workof two friends and great golfartists - Josh Smith and LeeWybranski. Both are making aname for themselves in theirrespective fields. Josh's originallandscape work can be seen inthe clubhouse at Cabot Linksand Sebonack and he sellslimited edition canvas printsthat include great courses suchas the Bandon courses, RoyalCounty Down and PebbleBeach. Lee is the official artistfor the USGA and has createdthe official U.S. Open postersfor a number of years. In 2012he added the R&A to his clientlist with a gorgeous poster forRoyal Lytham.
