STEP TWO

Preliminary Work

STEP ONE

Initial Consultation

our process

The process begins with an initial consultation. This gives the client the opportunity to meet us and see what the company has to offer. During the meeting, we review the clients needs and desires concerning the space planning and design of their project. At m2 we believe that the designer-client relationship is one that requires trust and confidence, and we take pride in maintaining these core values in a comfortable atmosphere.

Once we come to an agreement regarding fees and scheduling, a contract is signed for our professional services. The space is surveyed, photographed and measured, and we will schedule to meet with architects and/or builders if applicable. We also inventory and photograph existing furnishings to be cataloged accordingly for the project. Preliminary floor plans are prepared, and issues regarding specialty built-ins, cabinetry and architectural details for interior spaces are reviewed. Initial furniture and finishes are selected.
