Inspiration

The final textbook has been closed shut and school’s out for summer. It’s time to forget about homework and assignments and focus on some fun!

For most children, summer is a time for enjoying themselves and being care-free. Summer is a time for new and fun experiences, and part of the magic of summer is waking up in the morning and not knowing what the day will bring. But above all, summer is a time for being outdoors, and whatever the situation, it will always require suitable clothing!

Summer means spending time on the beach, with the warm sand between your toes and time to gaze out across the ocean through your sunglasses, with a sense of freedom and possibility. The MINI A TURE collection aims to encapsu-late this feeling, and give children this feeling of freedom, not only in terms of their state-of-mind, but also through the clothes themselves by ensuring that they never feel constricted by their clothing.

The collection itself reflects a cool and laid-back summer vibe, conjuring up images of surfers, but without being too eclectic. The colour palette mainly comprises light, summer pastels inspired by the 1950s, combined with stron-ger colours in between. The prints consist of floral and graphic prints for the girls and cool, surfer prints for the boys.

With this collection, MINI A TURE aims, as always, to combine functionality with style. Softness is the key to this season and it is important that the clothes are comfortable to wear, without compromising on design.

News

A key focus this season has been to create a collection, which combines func-tionality with style, and to create clothing that can help kids prepare for the unexpected.

The collection includes a new look when it comes to the t-shirts, polo tops and denim. ‘Cool dye’ is a colour effect that gives the collection an edgy look and adds an original and hand-made feeling to the clothes.

For the younger girls, the collection comprises a range of feminine styles with hand-embroidery, to create a girly look and feel to the clothes and a uniqueness to the pieces themselves, whilst the pieces for the older girls have an edgier look to them.

For chilly summer evenings or a cloudy day, the collection features a selection of light outerwear in a range of fabrics including sweat and nylon for boys and girls. The collection is completed with a range of bottoms made of a structured canvas with an edge for the boys and a feminine touch for the girls.

CSR policyMINI A TURE

With the large geographical distance that often exists between an office and its production sites, it is very important to establish some guidelines to help maintain and protect a company’s values within the production.

To help do so, we, at MINI A TURE, have emphasized 4 areas which we find par-ticularly important when it comes to our production.

Code of Conduct

During recent years there has been implemented many different initiatives in order to help improve the conditions within production for both consumers, workers and the environment. At MINI A TURE it is important that our suppliers provide good working conditions for their employees at their factories, and we check our factories for CSR. In general we use BSCI as a standard – but not a necessity. We demand of our suppliers that they as a minimum comply with the ground rules set by the REACH legislation, which has been initiated in order to ensure a responsible use of chemicals regarding textiles.

Quality control

It is important for us to keep close contact to our suppliers as a way to assure all implied parties and to make sure that the production lives up to the demanded standards. To do so, we have hired a quality control to conduct visits at the fac-tories in a deliberate and systematic way. On a regular basis at least two times a month, and during more busy times, we have a quality control once a week.

Supplier relations

We wish to establish well-functioning and long-lasting relationships to our sup-pliers as it gives us better conditions and a better foundation to help make the best possible collections. The better understanding our suppliers have of the MINI A TURE brand, the better collaboration we are able to create. Our suppliers sign a supplier manual with a code of conduct and values regarding chemicals.

Fabrics

We aim to use OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified fabrics in our production, which means that the fabrics do not contain these particular chemicals. We make sure to test the fabrics wherever it is necessary, and wherever we believe that there might be a risk.
