EMPOWERING LIFE WITH MAPEH 6 At the end of the lesson, you will be able to identify rules and concepts of invasion games that can help you apply different skills by participating in invasion games. Specifically, you are expected to:
1. describe skills involved in the games; 2. observe safety precautions and execute different skills involved in
the games; 3. recognize the value learned from invasion games and apply it in real
life; and 4. demonstrate the skills and concepts needed in playing invasion
games.
These will prepare you to become an invasion games enthusiast.

INVASION GAMES 1. Invasion games – the objective is to invade the opponents’
territory while trying to score points and keeping the opposing
team’s points to a minimum. 2. Offensive team – has the possession of the ball or the object and
tries to score a point by attacking the goal. 3. Defensive team – prevents the offensive team from scoring by
protecting the goal. 4. Capture the flag – invade the opposing team’s territory to capture
the other team’s flag and bring it back to your team’s territory
safely without being tagged or hit. 5. Basketball – the objective is to move the ball into the other team’s
territory and be able to throw and shoot the ball through a netted
hoop fixed at each end of the court.

Directions: 1. The goal is to steal the other team’s flag and bring it back
to your side of playing field.
2. Teams start the game from their own side.
3. When players enter enemy territory they can be tagged
and taken out of the game.
4. Tagged players can be frozen in place or put into a
designated “Jail” within the other team’s area. Players
cannot be tagged in their own territory.
5. Players can be unfrozen or released from jail by their
teammates.
6. If the player has the enemy flag he/she has to choose
between stealing the flag or freeing the teammate.
7. If player with the opposing team’s flag makes it back to
his/her team’s area, they win!
* Rules may be modified as needed.

Directions: 1. Come up with a short 2D animation clip showing concepts
of invasion games using the flipbook function in
Sketchbook or Flipaclip.
2. The animation should be able to show the value/s learned
in invasion games such as team work, sportsmanship.
3. The animation should be at least 30-second long, set to
12 fps and at least 360 frames total.
4. You are allowed to use a reference/peg for your
animation. Having a reference is a valid technique in
creating original art works.
5. You can also refer to your textbook, pages 233 – 236, as
guide in creating animations.
6. You can use the background layer for an actual
background, watermark and/or artist signature.

7. Save your works and export as a movie file (mp4).
8. Upload files to the MAPEH Google Classroom.
9. Invasion game animation will also be considered as a
performance task in Art.
