Swierk Perennials Nursery specializes in the production and sale of a wide range of perennials, ornamental grasses, ferns and herbs in containers. They won the gold medal of the International Fair in Poznan for their varied plant assortment.

The arboretum in Wojslawice is the botanical garden with the oldest and largest rhododendron collection in Poland. It is located 50 kilometres south of Wroclaw. The botanical garden occupies an area of 62 hectares, including vintage park (5 ha), herbaceous plants (3 ha) and an orchard (12 ha). The huge collection of plants includes thousands of exotic trees and shrubs from all over the world and a great amount of colourful perennials and miscanthus borders. They also have lovely hydrangea, hosta and fern paths under the shade of magnificent trees.

9:45 - Blabus Nursery - nursery tour The Blabus onamental shrub nursery in Wielun was established in the seventies. The nursery covers an area of 30 hectares with 20 ha of container production, 3 ha of open field and 4 ha of greenhouse production. They specialize in the production of conifers, deciduous plants, climbing plants, vaccinium and heather plants in containers and in open ground.

The ornamental grasses aboretum in Trojanów is a private botanical collection of plants located in a beautiful landscape of about 8 hectares. It was established in 1998 by Marzena and Jacek B~kowski. There are two adjacent high-level gardens - one is located on the river and two ponds with a collection of shade and moisture plants and the second one on a high slope with a collection of trees, bushes, ornamental grasses and tall flowering and decorative leaved perennials. A huge collection of plants includes 400 varieties of lilies, irises, asters, over 150 varieties of hostas and more than 400 varieties of ornamental grass. The collection of perennials encompasses over 3000 varieties.

Barcikowscy Nursery of perennial plants in Pakosé is one of the largest nurseries in Poland. They have existed for 25 years on the international markets of Europe and Asia. They specialize in the production of perennial plants, coverings, numerous varieties of grasses, ferns, herbs and a rich collection of funkia, lilies, phloxes, geranium and sedum. Their nursery promotes ecology by recommending and producing many naturalistic and national varieties.

9:00-11:00 - Wroclaw Botanical Garden guided tour The Botanical Garden of the University of Wroclaw, known as an „oasis of beauty and peace" in the heart of the city is a 'live museum' and a research and teaching centre as well as a favourite place of Wroclaw citizens to rest. It is the second (after the one in Krakow) oldest institution of this type in Poland, listed along with other Lower Silesian historical monuments. The Botanical Garden lies within the boundaries of the historic centre of Wroclaw, an area designated for special protection.

The very heart of the city attracts visitors with its Old Town Promenade, running along the former city moat and Botanical Gardens in Ostrow Tumski. Visitors can also admire the leafy waterfront from cruisers and gondolas, as well as the fantastic multimedia fountain, which is one of Wroclaw's many tourist attractions.
