The writer has made these lyrics showing he cannot be controlled. He then goes on about what imagines to be crying and that you should take more when you say you can’t.

The lyrics show that the writer has had his will and strength toughened by everything that’s happened (“test fate”, “Pressed with that weight”)

The chorus is interesting, it was difficult at first to think of what it could mean. Even though he is saying once you have taking it all take some more its like he is still waiting for his pain to end.

He knows that the day will come where he will overcome this pain (“Off with his head”, “Can only reign ‘til instead”) but he will until then chase that day (“Chase the sun”)

At this point I believe the writer is trying to say it gets harder to move on just when you are about to (“Nights get darkest right before dawn”) however if you don’t fall you become stronger (“What don’t kill you makes you more strong”)
