Mercedes SLS AMG
The Mercedes SLS AMG is the kind of car you spend a lottery win on, mainly because it has a fabulous set of gullwing doors.
Oh, and the fact it has a thunderous 6.3-litre V8 engine under the bonnet. Just starting up the 563bhp 6.3-litre V8 is enough to have you giggling.
With a 0-62mph time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 197mph. It feels very big and wide around corners, so it’s not as engaging but it’s still lots of fun to drive.
When you floor the throttle in a tunnel, your ears will be greeted by the kind of thunderous V8 soundtrack usually heard at a NASCAR race.
McLaren MP4-12c
Scintillating performance and handling. Nothing else looks, feels or sounds like the Lamborghini Aventador.
Goodness it’s fast. The V12 engine gives you a real thump in the back with every gearshift, and it spears towards the horizon at a pace that only a few other cars on the planet can compete with.
The handling feels quite friendly for a Lambo. It will eventually run wide at the front, but that doesn’t happen until you’ve reached really crazy speeds.
The steering is light and precise and adds to the agility.
Audi R8 GT Spyder
The Audi R8, into which Audi has incorporated the name and the genes of the five-time Le Mans winner, is a spectacular Supercar.
As the first Audi mid-engined Supercar, the Audi R8 combines Audi’s experience gained from numerous motorsport triumphs with groundbreaking design and the acknowledged technological expertise of the brand.
The sound and looks of this car are incredible. With its wide, low-slung body and huge side-vents the Audi R8 looks every bit the supercar.
R8 offers an incredible driving experience of 424bhp V8 power accelerating from 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds.
