The family of Gloria (Lehfeldt) and Alvin Richart will be holding a reception in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary on Sat., June 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Prairie Park next to the Sterling Recreation Center. The couple has four children, Barbara Kelley, Bill Richart, Beverly Norwood and Brenda Blecha.

The American Legion Auxiliary, Post 20, sent delegates, including Alexis Rutz, to Columbine Girls State recently. This program, which has been in effect since the late 1930’s is designed to assist the girls in learning about local, county and state government processes.

placed third in state in the long jump her sophomore year. Her long-term goal is to attend Arizona State University and eventually become a pharmacist. Attending with Lisa were Megan Kaiser, Rylie Lewis, Jordan Nelson, Emily Rutherford and Elena Wolfley.
