The LUM Emergency Homeless Shelter has openings for a volunteer live-in coordinator and weekend coordinators with flexible hours. Volunteer Live-in Coordinator’s benefits include efficiency apartment, utilities, cable, phone, internet, meals, laundry facilities and a monthly stipend. Weekend Coordinators work one or more Friday or Saturday nights a month from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.; sleep from 11 p.m. – 6 a.m. provided no emergencies occur. Congratulations FFA on a powerful and educational banquet. LUM Salutes Our Veterans. Lafayette Urban Ministry Executive Director Joe Micon was honored to give the keynote address at Monday afternoon's Benton Jr./Sr. High School's Veteran's Day Assemblies. Much appreciation to the Jr. and Sr. Choirs for providing such moving and powerful performances for their fellow students and in tribute to the veterans who attended. The LUM Emergency Homeless Shelter has openings for a volunteer
