Constructing the video When creating the video we used many different media technologies one was premier pro. On this we added video effects to create a better look. How we did this was using the software we changed the brightness and the contrast of each individual clip so that it generated a darker look and cut out the huge bright background that we had before.

Moreover how else we used premier pro and the video effects was by layering. In the video we wanted to have a distorted feel so layering certain parts of the video helped create this. I did this by grabbing clips that I felt necessary to go there and simply placed them on top of each other in different video lines. Then after doing this I changed the opacity line on each of the clips to be lower than the other but then the clips I wanted highlighted I made sure they hade a higher opacity.

I used more media technologies in the video on premier pro when I used the reverse speed and slow motion. I did this throughout the video as again it fitted with the distorted image the video was based around. I did this by getting each clip that we wanted to slow down and went onto clip on premier pro and speed/duration and changed the speed down to generate the slow effect. Moreover in some really specific clips I changed around how the clip was played and put it in reverse so in this clip it showed the coke going back into the bottle as before you just saw it coming out. I did this the same way that I did the speed but just clickedon the reverse speed box.

We used more media technologies such as Photoshop to construct our magazine cover and our digipak. We used Photoshop to edit the colour effects of the image such as change the colour of the spikes to purple to fit in with the digipak and fit in with the colour scheme we was going for. Furthermore we edited the brightness of the white to bring it out more from the darker back ground which the image was first one. Moreover we was able to then put text over the top of the images and position It more clearly. We did this by using the basic colouring tools on Photoshop to change the spikes colour and we played around with different effects on the background image but we chose on a effect which added a shine/sparkle on the white background of the wheel.

Research/ PlanningWhen we started doing research and planning we used website in what we were going to do where to film and what to include in the video. Our main website that we used for research was YouTube and just the Google search engine. We firstly needed to understand the band we were using the song from, fall out boy, so we used Google engine to look for things such as band target audience and their general band image. Moreover we searched for bands such as fall out boy, sum41 and 30 seconds to mars. (see next slide for links to videos we used) We found that these really helped when we wanted to find what to actually put in our video. So we searched many boy bands that we knew of in the search bar of YouTube and Google and then chose these three of main ones that we can relate to when creating the video.

When planning the video we mainly used the website blogger. We used this by documenting anything that we found of use to the video and then putting on the blog so we could then easily bring the ideas together and eventually create the video. We used function of creating blog posts on the website and under a similar heading of planning we put together information and then used the blogs we had created to then generate the story board for the video.

EvaluationIn the evaluation stages of the video we used different types of media technologies to show of our IT skills. This included prezie, PowerPoint, word and premier pro. When using PowerPoint that is where I created question 1 and question 4. I did this by adding different slides into the video and taking screen shots of the editing software and importing them into PowerPoint. This was a success as I was able to neatly and successfully place everything I needed in and able to use media technology. When using premier pro to complete our question 3.

In premier pro I was able to use media technologies to create the video for q3 where I put three different images on screen at once whilst the audio spoke over the top. I did this by splitting the screen into three and constantly having the name of who was talking in the bottom right corner and then the music video we created in the top right corner. Then I would have different images or videos on the left hand side of what we were talking about. Then the audio would play throughout the video to comment on everything and comment on the feedback we received from other people.

When using more media technologies such as prezi, which I used for question 2, I was able to construct a nicely formatted answer which covered what the question asked. I did this by choosing a style in which I wanted the prezi to look like and then created pathways between each bubble to specifically show what was going on as seen below.
