I would like to thank every one of you for submitting to LUCY’S Magazine and for being amazing! I am a little sad that this is the last Summer volume but I am way excited for Fall! For the upcming two Volumes, 10 and 11, I have in mind Fall and elegance. I would definitely like to see a mixture of darker and some bright colors; remember that I am in love with simplicity and elegance.Volume 12 comes out in a couple months and has the theme: DARK. Make sure you keep an eye out for the mood board in the next few days!

RAMONA: Tell us something unique about yourself. JULIA: I like to write. But I don’t really share it anywhere. My mind also tends to wander, as I daydream a lot.
R: What do you love most about photography?J: Photography is a wonderful medium for storytelling. I love capturing the way I see people and places through my lens to share with the world.
R: Who and what inspires you? J: I am inspired most by locations. I spend a lot of my time exploring and road tripping, and the places I come across are what inspires me to create .

R: From your experience, what are the ingredients to a great photo shoot? J: Sometimes it’s great to have a big, talented team to work with on a shoot. But sometimes, it’s the shoots with just myself and a model that are the most magical. Simple is best.
R: If you could take photos of a successful model, who would it be and why?J: I would love to take photos of Cara Delevigne. She seems like such a lovely and quirky person, I could imagine shooting with her would be such a fun day!
R: What else do you do besides photography? J: I love traveling. Both overseas and within Australia. My film-maker boyfriend Dan and I often go on road trips to wherever the road leads us.
R: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be? J: Dreamer.

RAMONA: Tell us something unique about yourself. JIM: I am a one man show. I started off as a model scout and then transitioned into a celebrity / fashion hair and make up artist. I was working with some of the biggest photographers for fifteen years, such as Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh, and Herb Ritts to name a few. Those fifteen years gave me the foundation and confidence I needed to pick up a camera and pursue photography as a career. since then, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph celebrities such as Charlize Theron, drew Barrymore, Leonardo DiCaprio, and work with clients such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, Vanity Fair, J Crew, and many others.
R: What do you love most about photography?J: I love the connection and intimacy photography allows me to experience with my talent. I love to help people, and photography gives me the opportunity to help people in one of the most transcending ways: by making people look and feel beautiful.
R: Who and what inspires you? J: My greatest source of inspiration comes from god and this beautiful place we live in.
R: From your experience, what are the ingredients to a great photo shoot? J: All of my photo shoots must include great music, positive energy on set, and have space for freedom to create beautiful imagery.
Interview with JIM JORDAN

R: If you could take photos of a successful model, who would it be and why?J: I have been in the industy for a long time and have had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest supermodels. It is not a matter of who I want to photograph. What’s important to me is working with someone who I can make realize how beautiful they are and their potential in this world. I have my own management company called white cross management, and I manage actors, models, musicicans, song writers, hair and make up artists, stylists, etc. It is so rewarding for me to see my talent blossom into such strong, independent young men and women. We are all capable of anything and I take pleasure in helping people reach their greatest potential.
R: What else do you do besides photography? J: I am an active crossfitter, I surf, snowboard, wakeboard, I cut hair, and discover talent.
R: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be? J: Passionate.

RAMONA: Tell us something unique about yourself. STEPHANIE: I’ve got chronic hiccups. It’s usually just one really loud hiccup that comes back to me every hour or so. It’s a great conversation starter I’d say!
R: What do you love most about photography?S: I love that photography allows for the ability to collaborate with different people from around the world to create a pretty picture. It is so rewarding to meet people of different ages and backgrounds and learn a little bit of what makes them who they are.
R: Who and what inspires you?S: The love and life around me. I am inspired by people and the way they live, the way they see the world.
R: From your experience, what are the ingredients to a great photo shoot? S: When there’s a connection between everyone on the team, that’s when the magic happens. I don’t need expensive gears or high end fashion labels; just give me some good people, some good jokes and a solid few hours of free flow and it will be a great photoshoot.
R: If you could take photos of a successful model, who would it be and why?S: This is a tough one because no models come to mind. I’d rather take pictures of my grandmother (mum’s mum) when she was younger because the only photo I have of her in her young adult years is of her on her wedding day, and she looked well gorgeous.
R: What else do you do besides photography? S: I like to write little personal musings in my spare time, whether it be on my phone, in old diaries, or the internet; I just need to empty my head every now and again.
R: If you could describe yourself in one word, what would it be? S: Indescribable - because I can’t be limited to one adjective as I’m always growing to be the best person that I can be.

About Victoria My full-time mission is to make a difference with my time on this planet, and I focus on doing that in two ways: 1) I invest in entrepreneurs and technologies which I think are going to change the world for the better and 2) I invest in the profound beauty and wisdom of a woman’s internal compass, helping her listen to who she is, and what’s right for her.
What is ‘SO SHE DID’?So She Did is the college resource I wish I had. We help young women invest in themselves from the inside out to find their own voice, develop their internal compass, and then define their own measures of self-worth in a world that has a narrow definition of what makes a woman complete and praiseworthy. We believe that fashion and beauty is fun to play with, but it can’t be the source of our self-confidence. Self-esteem shouldn’t come from a bottle. It all starts inside. We offer tools and exercises so women can build themselves from the inside out.
Our online magazine helps women get clarity around what they really want in career, life and love, and empowers them with the self-authorship to make it a proud/fulfilling #SoSheDid Moment. Please share your #SoSheDid moments with us!

What’s Next For You: Find YOUR Potentialhttp://soshedid.org/whats-next-for-you-find-your-untapped-potential/
Do you think you make a difference in people’s lives through your movement? We’re already hearing from our community that they feel inspired and ready to go after their dreams -- “She believed she could, so she did,” and this is just the beginning. When we focus on investing in ourselves from the inside out, we can self-define who we are, what’s right for us, and realize that it all looks different and unique to each of us, and it’s all worth celebrating. External validation is distracting, and we’re here to help her stay focused on what’s right for her. We are amplifying the internal voice of women.
Interview with VICTORIA SONG by RAMONA

What are your goals for the future and where do you see ‘SO SHE DID’ in 10-15 years from now?
We launched yesterday, and our goal is to reach as many women as possible to improve self-esteem and well-being. We are already in talks with campuses across the country about bringing So She Did Societies to them. Women get together in small groups and use our content to start the conversations around the challenges they’re facing, and support one another in finding solutions that work for them. We’re also in talks with existing women’s organizations such as sororities who are excited to incorporate our content into their existing sisterhood meetings.
How do you think ‘SO SHE DID’ will help women?Being a strong woman doesn’t mean the absence of insecurity. It means we have the ability to transform it. The key is how we deal with that insecurity.
It’s a lifetime delivered practice to focus on self-esteem and confidence. Do I have days where I
have low self-esteem? I don’t know any one who doesn’t. I know the days I keep focused on the inside, my internal compass, I’m trying. The days I’m looking for external validation, I’m not. It’s a constant practice. So She Did is here to help women keep listening to their internal compass in a system with a lot of distractions.
Our readers might want to join and be part of ‘SO SHE DID’!1. Join the Movement by tweeting/posting/’gramming your proud/fulfilling #SoSheDid Moments or celebrate your friend’s!
2. Sign up for our newsletter at soshedid.org. Check out ASK section for most popular questions from our community, and DO section for actionable tools for personal and professional growth.
3. If you would like to bring So She Did to your college campus, email us!

Our logo is the Queen Chess Piece, representing the most powerful chess piece on the board. Like her, young women today can move in any direction, command the whole game, and master their destinies. It all starts inside.
