lucky lunch break

I wanted to create an idea for a cross promotion with Giro and Trek that would gain them some positive publicity by allowing people to have some fun with their products. We would first set up a tent in a very populated place such as a courtyard outside of office building in NYC. Then, around lunchtime when people are walking to grab a bite to eat we will set up a row of brand new Trek bikes that are attached to a mechanism that suspends the back tire. Each bike would be set to release at a certain distance. No one would know what each bike’s release point would be set for. We would create a sign up list and when it is a user’s turn he or she would have to pedal as fast as he or she would like to for a designated time period. The lucky rider to be on the bike when he or she hits the mark, literally rides off with the bike and some new Giro gear! DESCRIPTION

Our assignment was to create a guerilla ad for a product we had already worked on. I used Giro and created a interactive game for people with a little time during their lunch breaks.
