Handmade in Germany stands for high-quality, handcrafted products with premium quality: And that is also what LUCA stands for. Our iPhone cases are handmade in the Hunsrück. More than 120 work steps are necessary until a LUCA case for the smartphone is finished. It starts with the material quality, the careful selection of the leather and ends with the cautious packaging of the finished iPhone case. This results in tailor-made, first-class smartphone cases with authentic character.
120 steps until finished iPhone case
High-quality leather together with selected nylon and microfiber is the basis for our iPhone cases. We apply the highest standards when selecting the materials. For one LUCA case six leather pieces are punched out. The lining consists of another 21 pieces. Before its processing into a smartphone case the leather is split to the desired thickness. For the credit card pockets the leather is reinforced and formed. After that the leather edges are sharpened.
The result: An elegant unique item
In eleven individual steps follows the glueing of the pieces together. Another 13 work steps are necessary for the folding in of the cuttings and another 16 for the sewing and cutting of the leather pieces. Already with the seams the precise workmanship becomes apparent. Every single work step is carefully executed. As a result, after more than 120 work steps we have an elegant, handcrafted LUCA case – handmade in Germany.
