As an ID card holder you can travel with us and invite guests as long as they are registered on the access roster of both Rose Barracks and Main Post at least 72 hours prior to the trip.

The majority of our trips include a walking city tour for a time varying from 1.5 to 2.5 hours, it is advised to wear comfortable shoes. Please ask for details before booking the trip. Let us know in advance if a member of your party has special needs. ODR staff members will be glad to assist in any way possible to make your experience wonderful and as smooth as possible. Our staff will be happy to answer your questions about trips and provide you with detailed itineraries.

Please Note that Leisure Travel Services trip assistants are required to ask for your passport before boarding the bus, as per European law in case of police check.

BAVARIAN FILM STUDIO June 18The White Dragon Fuchur from Michael Ende’s “Neverending Story”attracts visitors to the Bavaria Film City (formerly Bavaria Film Studios). The original locations of famous TV and movie hits make a visit to the studios an unforgettable experience for the whole family. Suddenly you are standing right in Marienhof and before Fürstenhof from “Storm of Love “ or you see professional stunt men to play in as police cars crashing into houses by a New York backdrop. Berlin has weathered through turmoil and prosperity, both have left their mark. LTS takes you there with a 3-hour bus tour of some major sites including the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall memorial site, Checkpoint Charlie and much more. After the tour, you will have free time to sightsee on your own. Prices: $59 adult, $49 child (3-12), $10 child under 3. Departs: Rose Barracks at 3 a.m. and Main Post at 3:30 a.m.

Black Forest June 25The Black Forest is a very unique place in Germany. This is the area where many of the cuckoo clocks are hand carved. We will visit the city of Triberg where you can visit the largest waterfall in Germany, museum of the area, and shop for the cuckoo or grandfather clock of your choice. You may want to take a walk and absorb the beautiful country side. Remember to bring your VAT form. BURGHAUSENJuly 9Discover the numerous facets of Burghausen and enjoy the variety of impressions and precious moments in a town full of contrasts and harmony. CHIEMSEE CASTLE May 22, August 14, September 11Tour yet another of King Ludwig’s fantastic castles. This castle is situated on an island in the middle of the Chiemsee Lake is modeled after Versailles. This was the final of Ludwig’s castles with only 20 of the 70 rooms completed. The bus will take you to the port where you can opt for one of 3 tour packages with a cost of €5 – €20 per person. Prices: $49 adult, $39 child (3-12), $10 child under 3. Dachau/Munich German National Museum April 10, August 21, September 18Tour the historic Dachau Concentration Camp memorial site. Afterwards visit the Munich German National Museum. DRESDEN April 23Go sightseeing in this world famous Sachsen City! Check out the museums in the Zwinger or tour the Residenz Schloss. If a guided tour is more to your liking, you can catch one of the many tour buses that operate daily. There are also many shopping opportunities throughout the city. EAGLE’S NEST AND SALT MINES July 23This famous retreat of Hitler is a lovely chateau located at the crest of a mountain in the Bavarian Alps. The LTS bus must park at the base of the mountain, so you can choose whether to hike to the crest or to take the local bus. The bus will cost around €15 per person. Then we will travel to the salt mines located on the Austrian border. Tourists will be issued traditional salt worker uniforms and taken into the tunnels. The cost of the salt mines tour is: adult; €16, child; €10. All entry fees are not included in price and are approximate. Prices: $39 adult, $29 child (3-12), $10 child under 3. EUROPA PARK AMUSEMENT PARK June 19, August 13This theme park is broken down into the European countries with an Adventure Land and water park section, as well as the new region of Portugal. The rides in each region stay true to the culture of that country while offering a bit of whimsy. Entry tickets are not included: Approximate entry price is Adult €36, child €32. $49 adult. KALTENBERG July 3, 10, 17This annual festival offers a day of fun and excitement for the entire family. Throughout the fest grounds actors will demonstrate period skills and shows to enchant and entertain the crowd. There are also tradesmen selling wares of the period and great food. Don’t miss the grand parade which culminates at 1 p.m. each day, with the joust performance to top off the adventure. Book tickets for the fest and joust early! You can stroll along the scenic colonnades as you shop for crystal, leather, amber jewelry and much more. On the way back, we stop at the Asian Dragon Bazaar for shopping. LAUENSTEIN CHOCOLATE & KRONACH CASTLEApril 3, June 12, August 28Visit the beautiful Lauenstein Chocolate Factory where you will taste the delicious chocolates sold around the world, and be able to purchase them at outlet prices. Then we will travel to Kronach, a town which is surrounded by a nearly complete city wall and Germany’s biggest medieval fortress, Festung Rosenburg. LEIPZIG WITH CITY TOUR July 30Leipzig is a city in Saxony. It forms a center for economics and trade, administration, culture and transportation in the south eastern Germany and north-west of Saxony. Leipzig tradition as an important trade fair location in eastern Europe with one of the oldest in the world dates back to 1190. It is closely linked to the long-standing role as an international center of fur trade. Therefore Leipzig on 20 December 1937 in kingdom city of Leipzig officially renamed. In addition to Frankfurt am Main, this city is a historic center of printing and trafficking. Leipzig is also home to one of the oldest schools of business and music in Germany. LITTLE BERLIN/BAYREUTH April 16, August 6The Thuringian part of the village of Mödlareuth belongs to the town of Gefell, and the Bavarian part of the community is Töpen. Since 1994, Mödlareuth has had an open-air museum about the border between East and West Germany. It includes a portion of the original wall as well as a rebuilt barrier typical of those on the border at the time. Although there is free passage between the two parts of the village today, there are still many differences. Entry price into the museum is approximately €3. MUNICH ZOO June 19, July 24This is the largest Zoo in Europe with annual visitors of about 1.5 million. The Zoo has over 14,800 animals representing 665 species in an area of 90 acres. It is perfect for baby strollers since it is on flat land. The zoo has a children’s playground and petting zoo with small animals and ponies for the children to ride for an extra fee. Wear comfortable walking shoes; bring food, snacks and drinks and have a picnic in the zoo. Prices: $39 adult, $29 child (3-12), $10 child under 3. Departs: Rose Barracks 6:30 a.m., Main Post 7 a.m.

NEUBURGJune 11Neuburg an der Donau has a defensive wall around the old town. The old town contains sights such as the ‘Birdland Jazz Club Neuburg’, one of the best locations for jazz auditions in Germany. Other sights worth seeing include the late Renaissance court church Hofkirche (1607/08 built by Josef Heintz), the Town Hall (1603/09), the rococo Provinzialbibliothek (Provincial Library, 1731/32) and the baroque churches of St. Peter (1641/46) and St. Ursula (1700/01). MONDAY NIGHT MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDESEach Monday starting April 11Bavaria is an excellent location for Mountain Biking!! Join us on our weekly Mountain Bike rides. Each Monday we will take you to a new trailhead for the opportunity to hone your skills. From single track to hill climbs (and descents), rocky terrain to stream crossings, we have something here for beginners and advanced riders alike. Join the group to get in shape, make friends, and enjoy nature.

Our weekly trips depart each Monday at 5:30 p.m. from Main Post, and 6 p.m. from Rose Barracks. Price is $10 per trip, or free with Mountain Bike Club Membership (see below).

Although there is no white water in the near vicinity you can learn or practice important skills for your next big adventure. Paddling can also be a great way to relax and make some new friends. This can also help hone your skills for our canoe float or overnight rafting trips to Austria. Participants must be able to swim.

NORISSTEIG KLETTERSTEIG April 16, September 17

Come and enjoy the great outdoors in Germany as a family. We will take you on

a hiking and klettersteig adventure on the Norissteig. This trail is a playground of rocks

which you will hike over, through, climb up and walk along. Klettersteig is a European specific sport that

combines hiking and climbing along a designated trail. Portions of this hike require a harness to hook you onto a

pre-placed steel cable. Parents must be able to complete climbing portions with their children, but other obstacles may

PEGNITZ CANOE FLOATMay 21“There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so worth doing as simply messing around in boats.” ODR is offering a canoeing float trip down the beginner-friendly Pegnitz River. During this program you will have the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to enjoy Germany from the water. While enjoying the peaceful setting, we will cover everything from getting in the boat to useful paddling techniques. Participants must be able to swim. Price: Adult $30. HOHENGLUCKSTEIG KLETTERSTEIGJune 4, July 6Alpine hiking, or Klettersteig is a European specific hiking discipline that combines hiking and climbing. Rather than climbing up a rock face, klettersteig involves “crossing” or “traversing” rock walls on an established trail while utilizing a safety harness and safety belays. The Hohenglucksteig has various routes guaranteed to satisfy all types of participants from calm to extreme. It has three distinct sections that progressively become more challenging. This trip is not recommended for children, please see the Norissteig Klettersteig for a kid friendly adventure. Price: Adult $30. Included: transportation to the site, instruction, use of safety gear and a guide.Departs: Main Post 9 a.m., Rose Barracks 9:30 a.m. BIKE TOUR OF MUNICHJuly 23 Let us take you to Munich to experience the city in a unique way, by bike! We will take you to Munich to meet up with a professional bike tour company, Mike’s Bikes. You will be outfitted with very comfortable cruiser bikes and will cover about 4 miles total. On this 4 hour tour you will see sights like Odeon’s Platz,sight of the Beer House Push, Ducker’s Ally, the Hofgarten, Englisher Gardens, surfer’s bridge, the Isar river and beaches, the peace angel and will stop at the famous Chinese Tower and beergarden for lunch. Please bring extra Euro for lunch at the Chinese Tower. After the tour you will have approximately 3 hours of free time to explore or get something to eat. Price: Adult $79. AUSTRIA RAFTING AND CANYONING TRIPSeptember 3-4Join us for a canyoning and rafting adventure in beautiful Austria. On the first day we will prepp and raft the Inn River with Faszinatour Rafting Company. This is a class three river which is appropriate for beginners and is still good fun for veteran rafters. Canyoning is a mixture of climbing, hiking and swimming in mountain creeks. You will navigate narrow gorges, swim through torrent currents, jump off waterfalls, rappel down rock faces and slide natural chutes. Participants must be in good overall shape and have basic swimming skills. Price: Adult $279. Includes: Trasportation, Guided Rafting and Canyoning trips, BBQ dinner, one breakfast. Due to policy must be 14 years old and up.

GERMAN ALPS CAMPING TRIP WITH KAYAKING, ROCK RUNNING, AND CANYONINGJune 18-19Join us for a whitewater kayaking, rock running, and canyoning trip to the German Alps. After setting up our camp site on day one we will spend approximately 6 hours kayaking a river in the German Alps. The second day begins with a Rock Running Class/Activity and culminates with a Canyoning Expedition on the German/Austrian border. We will begin by rafting the class 3 Inn River where we will learn important skills necessary for the Class 4/5 Oetz River. The Oetz River was used for the Sickline Adidas Extreme Kayak World Championships and offers an extreme rafting experience. The second day you will embark on a high altitude adventure scaling the highest waterfall in Tirol. This trip will wet any extreme appetite. Participants must be in very good overall shape and have very good swimming skills.

Includes: transportation, Faszinatour guided rafting trips on the Inn and Oetz Rivers, guided klettersteig up the Stuibenfalls Waterfall , hotel stay, BBQ dinner at Faszinatour Clubhouse, breakfast. HIKING AND CAMPING SAECHSISCHE SCHWEIZJuly 30-31The Saechsische Schweiz is known as the Grand Canyon of Germany and is an extremely popular outdoor destination due to its’ breathtaking sandstone cliffs. You will have the opportunity to hike portions of the Malerweg or Painter’s Path. This trail leads you around sandstone pillars where you can see the “Balcony of Saxon Switzerland”, hidden grottos, ruins and much more. You may also want to take a train ride through the Sebnitz Valley which can easily be done from your campsite or room.

Price: $119 for Tent Site or Bunk Style Shared Rooms, $149 for Each person in a Double Room. Included in this trip: transportation and accommodation of choice. HUT HIKE BERCHTESGADENAugust 20-21Experience the Bavarian Alps with a hike and overnight stay at a secluded mountain hut, the Goetzenalm. This hut offers an amazing view of Lake Koenigsee which is a deep blue glacial lake. Hikers will begin by taking the Jenner cable car halfway up the Jenner Mountain to the start of the hike. The second day we will hike down to the Koenigsee and take a boat back across the lake to our starting point.

This trip will involve a substantial amount of uphill and downhill hiking with a pack. Please evaluate your level of fitness to make sure you can hike for at least 5 hours the first day and 4 hours the second day. A backpack with a hip belt and good hiking shoes are a must. Please see an ODR employee for further hike information and packing list.

DANUBE BIKE TOURPassau Germany to Vienna AustriaSeptember 2-5 (Signup no later than August 14)This trip consists of three days of biking along the Danube River. The Donau Rad Weg is a beautiful paved biking trail which crosses very diverse terrain. As the trail parallels the Danube river, the trek is flat with very few hills. No support vehicle will assist.

Trip Itinerary:Day 1 all participants board a bus at 7 a.m. Upon arrival all participants will set out on the first leg of the ride. Upon arrival in Linz, Austria customers will be free to explore. Day 2 starts at 8 a.m. with a ride to Melk, Austria. Upon arrival all participants will be free to tour explore this quaint town. Day 3 starts at 8 a.m. and is the final leg of our journey. Day 4 starts at 10 a.m. and all participants will board a train in Vienna. Upon arrival in Passau, Germany participants will board the bus back to post.

Price $379. Includes three star hotels with breakfast, transportation to and from Passau, Germany, train fare from Passau Germany to Vienna, Austria and a ride guide.

Special Considerations for this trip:-Customers must be prepared to ride at least 6 hrs each day on their respective bicycle. - All personal items must be carried on the customer’s bicycle. - Customers must ensure that their bicycles are outfitted with panniers and saddlebags. -Customers must carry spare parts. PAINTBALLLooking for a high adrenaline, heart pumping sport

that will leave you wanting more? Or maybe you just want to switch up your unit training to something a little less traditional. We offer

this fast pace sport in 4 hour sessions. All we need is a minimum of 8 Participants to start your experience. ODR has two different “Woodland” locations to choose from. Also available, our famous “Re-Ball Arena”, as seen during the Warrior Adventure Quest. Re-Ball utilizes a reusable rubber ball, players engage in different scenarios with inflatable bunkers inside a mesh dome. Use of the Re-Ball Arena requires a MOA, and you must have space and electricity to set-up. Unlike paintballs, Re-Balls once fired from the marker the can then be collected and redistributed.

Per person price for this activity at woodland course: $15Per person price for a Unit Function with 15 participants or more: $10Included in this price: Marker, Mask, Hopper, Air Supply & Trained Supervisor. MOUNTAIN BIKE PTWant to do something different for PT? Let our mountain bike guides take you on a ride. We have bikes for up to 25 soldiers. Rides last for up to 2 hours and can be scheduled around your timetable and difficulty needs. If you would rather bring your own bike we will check it out for free ahead of time. Helmets are included with all bikes. Rides must be led by an ODR employee, program bikes cannot be rented at leisure. Rides normally leave from ODR buildings.

PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF DIVE INSTRUCTORS OPEN WATER DIVER COURSEMay 9, June 1Looking to broaden your horizons? What about going under the horizon? Getting started in diving is fun and exciting. Our dive instructor will guide you through the process and teach you the skills necessary to become a certified diver. After the initial meeting, you and the instructor will set a flexible schedule that allows for personal obligations and military training requirements. Participation in all sessions is mandatory; make-ups are possible at an additional cost. Course time is a combination of class, theory, and dive time. Upon completion of the course a test will be administered for certification.

A non-refundable $ 50 is required in order to sign up for a class and to receive study material. Only in case of emergencies (leave, duty- or medical problems) can the course be delayed to a later date or cancelled. In this scenario a partial refund may be given.

Cost $299 which includes manual, dive table, theory & pool instructions, 4 open water dives, certification card, air and equipment.

$20 off for WAQ DSD Participants.

Participants must have decent swimming skills and physical fitness. There will be 3 theory & 5 pool sessions and 4 open water dives. Courses will last 3 weeks SCUBA LESSONS
