ACHIEVE YOUR CAREER GOALS The LSU Flores MBA Program is here to help you achieve your career goals. We focus on personal
development throughout your @me in the program to ensure that you have a specialized career plan.
Our staff is dedicated to ensuring a one-‐on-‐one rela@onship with each student so that you receive
valuable career coaching for internship, post-‐graduate and full-‐@me posi@ons. Once you begin the
program, our staff will be with you every step of the way to discuss your goals and help you work
toward realizing them. Upon comple@ng the program, LSU Flores MBA students are prepared to enter
the workforce with tangible skills that companies seek in new hires. We provide substan@al
opportuni@es for students to network with poten@al full-‐@me employers during and aIer their @me in
the program.
Specializations made for Your Career
While in the LSU Flores MBA Program, you’ll
have the opportunity to make yourself stand
out by specializing in a curriculum to suit
your career needs. Each specializa@on can be
adapted to fit your own personal career
plans. You can even create a custom
specializa@on if you feel it will further your
career goals! Examples include analy@cs,
energy, financial planning and healthcare
management.
Career Leader SELF-ASSESSMENT All LSU Flores MBA students take the Career Leader inventory at the beginning of their @me in the
program. Career Leader is a fully integrated approach to business career
self-‐assessment, built on the premise that one's interests, mo@vators and skills will drive their future
career success and sa@sfac@on. Using this assessment, our staff works with students to develop a
personal plan for each student's career goals.
Professional Development Our program places strong emphasis on professional development, offering training in résumé
building, interviewing, salary nego@a@ng and interpersonal skills. In our Business Educa@on Complex,
we have prac@ce interview rooms with built-‐in video recording devices so that you can prac@ce for
your upcoming interview and review your performance. You will also learn how to be more confident
and self-‐aware when looking for a job or while at work.

my strengths and weaknesses as a job applicant and specific job fits
for me. Then, as my interview with ExxonMobil drew closer, we met to
discuss behavioral event interviews and the STAR methodology.
Together, we analyzed a mock interview I completed so that I was
fully prepared.”

LSU's Career Expo LSU's Career Expo is the largest recrui@ng event on campus and draws hundreds of recruiters each year.
Recruiters specifically targe@ng LSU students spread out across the basketball arena (LSU's PMAC) and
speak with students throughout the day-‐long event.
Business Networking Reception
Twice a year, the E. J. Ourso College of Business hosts a
Business Networking Recep@on designed specifically for LSU
Flores MBA students and business undergraduates. More
than 70 organiza@ons a`end the recep@on each semester in
search of interns and full-‐@me employees. The recep@on is
held in the new Business Educa@on Complex rotunda so
there is easy access for all MBA students.
There is an area at the recep@on that is reserved just for LSU
Flores MBA students to meet with employers to discuss
internships and full-‐@me employment posi@ons.
National Recruiting Fairs Each year, LSU Flores MBA students a`end na@onal recrui@ng fairs all over the country. Previous
conferences that Flores MBA students have a`ended include:

• Many companies post job opportuni@es in LSU's system, Careers2Geaux. This database is run
through the LSU Olinde Career Center. Companies pos@ng jobs may elect to accept applica@ons
specifically from MBA students, so many jobs are catered to students in our program.
Company Informa8on Sessions & On-‐Campus Interviewing
• Employers recruit Flores MBA students through Careers2Geaux, and then visit campus to conduct
interviews for full-‐@me, part-‐@me, internship and co-‐op posi@ons. Many companies hold
informa@on sessions in the Business Educa@on Complex for our students to meet with recruiters in
person. Recent informa@on sessions included companies such as ExxonMobil, Ochsner Hospital
Systems and BG Group.
