Installing Ableton for PC usersAbleton Live Lite is software for making and performing music. After following these steps, you’ll have Ableton Live Lite installed and ready to use.

Step 1 - install Live

Click on the ‘Take me to MY SOFTWARE’ button shown on the page on the easy start website.

Scroll down to where you see Ableton Live Lite and select ‘Get Ableton Live Lite’. Here you will see your activation code for Ableton Live Lite. You’ll need this later so please highlight the code, right click it and select copy.

Click on the code to go to the Ableton website.

On the Get Live 10 Lite page select your operating system in the drop-down menu and select download.

Navigate to the downloads folder on your computer and you’ll see the installer for Ableton Live Lite downloading.

Once the download is complete, right click on the zipped folder once the download is complete and select Extract All. Ensure that ‘Show extracted fi les when complete’ is checked and click extract.

Double click on the installer to run it. There is no need to restart your computer after this installation.

Step 2 - Activate at ableton.com

Once the installation is complete, open Ableton Live Lite.

You’ll be presented with a dialogue box asking you to activate Live. Select ‘Activate at Ableton.com’.

This will take you to Ableton’s website, where you’ll need to either register for an account, or log in to an existing account if you have one.

Step 3 - Enter your activation code

Once you’re logged in to your new or existing account, you’ll be asked for your activation code for Ableton Live Lite.

This is the code that you right clicked and copied earlier. If you didn’t copy the code earlier, you can fi nd it and copy it from your Novation account at https://customer.novationmusic.com/my-software

Please right click and paste the code into the Ableton site.

Click ‘Submit’.

You will be told that Ableton Live Lite has been successfully activated and is ready to use.
