NICKNAME: GREYHOUNDS—LOCATION: BALTIMORE, MD.

VINCE GALLAGHERCo-Captain of the squad and hails fromSwarthmore, Pa. Vince is the aggressive,fast type of player and his long higharchery shot has delighted Loyola follow-ers. Slipped into a starting role last yearwhen O’Donnell graduated and did a finejob until injured. During the spring he highjumped for the Track Team. Is a Navy Vet.

HERB MEINERTCo—Captain and stands 6-3 and is shiftyfor a big boy. Understudied Bob Andersonfor two years and this season will comeinto his own. Played fine ball in reliefroles last year, and the year before didfine work in the Denver and Kansas CityTournaments. Is the super salesman ofthe squad.

TOM McKEWHis work on the Freshman team last yearon rebounds made him a defensive stand-out. 6-2 and moves very quickly for atall boy. Is a workhorse on defense. Comesfrom Loyola High School, Baltimore.

ED KELLYAnother sophomore up from the Fresh-man squad. Played high school ball forChamminade High of New York. An excel-lent floorman and very good on rebounds.
