LOWE’S CLEAN SWEEP DISPLAY BUILD WORK FLOW A standardized routine has been developed to help you stay organized and on track during your Lowe’s Clean Sweep.

1. Sign in (SISO) to the IVR system. Each store is to have 16 hours of dedicated service to the lighting area. In most cases there will be 2 techs for each store, remote stores could have 1 tech for 2 consecutive days. You will be paid based on SISO hours. One tech will be designated as team lead for reporting.

2.

3. Login (LILO) to the Lowe’s Service Management (LSM) system and clock in using reset credentials beginning with 55472

4. Synchronize your reporting device and access the work order 5. Check with the PSA Department Manager and perform a department pre-walk

• If the PSA Manager is not available, check in with the Assistant Store Manager.

• During the pre-walk discuss the displays that you will be completing on the visit

6. Complete the assigned Clean Sweep Display Builds in priority order listed on Page 3. Use the worksheet on page 5 to keep track of your builds, what cannot be built and totally dark bays (electrical issues) that need to be addressed.

7. Complete SISO and LILO requirements for lunch

8. If there is time remaining and you have built all available displays you will complete maintenance in the department same priority order listed on Page 3.

• You are to check for any damaged displays and replace parts or the entire display if necessary, displays that are not lit, replace bulbs, check wiring or replace the display and ensure that all displays are signed.

• You should also attempt to trouble shoot any dark bays to determine if the issue is an improperly wired display.

9. Meet with the PSA Manager to recap project completion 10. Complete the TechLink report- There is a worksheet to help you keep track of your work. You can use this to

help with your reporting and providing RA numbers to the RTM Clerk.

11. Synchronize your reporting device to transmit these reports

12. Sign out (SISO) of the IVR system and complete LILO requirements

LOWES DISPLAY BUILD PRIORITY ORDER

Once you have clocked in and checked in with the PSA manager you will need to begin to build and install missing displays. Every store will be worked in the same priority order. You will need to work through this list category by category in order. The order of the build is:

1. Track Lighting-RA Required for displays that are installed-Ensure that the following guidelines are being followed:

• Every 4’ section is wired to a separate dimmer • Not all SKUs are to be plugged in. Refer to POG. Some must be left unplugged in each

4’ section in order to not overload dimmer. POG should state which remain unplugged, but general rule is at least 1 SKU from each “collection” (like a 1, 3, 4 or 6-light) should be lit if it has glass. Many of the all metal SKUs will not be plugged in b/c they don’t really look much different when lit and we need the glass SKUs lit

• All Energy Star SKUs should be lit and with FULL power by plugging them in directly – not to the dimmers In 3.5 and 4 bay Track POGs (24’-32’ sets), all the Energy Star SKUs are in the last bay, bottom 2 panels with signage around all sides to call them out. These should be BRIGHT.

2. Recessed Lighting-Ensure that the store is issued the correct RA number for each display that you install.

3. Accent and Under Cabinet Lighting-RA required 4. Fluorescent Lighting-There is no RA number for this category. If the store has fluorescent displays that

need to be replaced, the store will need to order these displays through spend management. If the store has fluorescent displays that need to be installed ensure that the store ordered them or that the store understands it is their responsibility to remove these displays from stock as there will be no RA’s issued to remove these items from stock.

5. Chandeliers-All Bays

6. Vanity Lighting- Build displays using the following guidelines:

Check to see if the store has completed the vanity reset. If the store has completed the vanity reset, then proceed to build any missing displays. If the store has not completed the vanity reset, then you should only build missing existing items. There is a grid at the back of this packet that shows the new items for the reset (Page 10). You may also find that the new displays have been built and are in top stock awaiting the reset. CHECK CAREFULLY BEFORE BUILDING ANY VANITY LIGHT DISPLAYS TO AVOID DUPLICATION.

7. Design and Combine Vanity Lighting

8. Flush mount and Semi Flush Mount Lights

9. Boxed Pendants

10. Mix and Match Pendants 11. Outdoor Wall Lights including Fashion Motion

12. Security, Exit, Flood, Motion and Work Lights

13. Ceiling Fans-You will have to store use down rods if the proper size is not available. Ensure that fans have light kits added where designated on the POG. Several ceiling fans now have integrated remotes.

14. Ceiling Fan Light Kits

LOWES DISPLAY BUILD PROCEDURES

Once you have clocked into the WO you will need to check in with the Lowes PSA manager or the Lowes Manager on Duty. Inform them that you are there to complete the Lowes Lighting Clean Sweep and ask if the store has pulled stock for the displays that are to be built or if the store has a list of missing displays for you to work with. Based on the answers to these questions you will need to proceed with the following steps from one of the 4 scenarios below.

Scenario 1

Store has prepared and pulled displays to be built and has PSA help available to install and print signs.

If you have any displays that need to be installed in:

Track Lighting Recessed Accent and Under Cabinet Fluorescents • One tech should begin installing these displays as they cannot be installed by Lowes personnel. The other tech should begin to build, wire and bracket new displays so that the PSA’s can install them.

• Ask the PSAs to print and install 3x5 signs for each display that you build. Scenario 2

Store has pulled the stock for their missing displays but has no help available to install displays or print signs.

If you have any displays that need to be installed in:

Track Lighting Recessed Accent and Under Cabinet Fluorescents

Lowes display Build Procedures-Continued One tech should begin installing these displays as they cannot be installed by Lowes personnel. The other tech should begin to build, wire and bracket new displays so that the PSA’s can install them.

Scenario 3

Store has not pulled any displays to be built and they have no PSA help available.

The stores were tasked to list the missing displays that they had in the lighting area. They were asked to place this list in the upright of bay 1 of track lighting. Locate this list and proceed using the priority list to build and install displays.

If you have any displays that need to be installed in both techs should begin to install in the following areas in priority order

Track Lighting Recessed Accent and Under Cabinet Fluorescents

Once the items on the list are completed for these categories are completed then you should continue on the list in order based on the priorities in the packet.

Scenario 4

Upon arrival to the store and checking in with the PSA manager, you find that the store has not pulled any displays and after checking the upright in track lighting there is no list of missing items.

Use the priority list below and follow these steps:

Print the POG from the Lowes computer for bay you wish to audit. The first priority is Track Lighting. Visually check the POG to the display and pull from stock any display to build that is missing.

Build the display and place in the correct location per the POG. Once you have completed Track Lighting move to the next category (Recessed Lighting and repeat these

steps. Build as many displays as you can in the time allowed.

This is by far the hardest scenario that may occur; it is crucial that you be thorough and productive and complete as many displays as possible. Please notate in the reporting that the store was not prepared for this visit.

LOWES DISPLAY BUILD -MAINTENANCE

If you have built every display that the store has available and you still have time left then you will need to work to service the stores. Again use the priority list for to begin the maintenance process. Priorities for maintenance are:

1. Ensure that all displays are complete and free from damage. Replace any damaged displays from stock. Remember any display that you remove in fluorescents, recessed, Track lighting or Accent and Under Cabinet will need to be assigned and RA from the list on page 7 and the RTM clerk will need to remove it from stock.

2. Ensure that all displays are lit with the proper bulb. Use the guide at the end of the booklet to determine the correct bulb to use.

3. Ensure all chandelier displays are hanging straight from the ceiling, with all arms straight and symmetrical like the product would appear hanging in a customer’s home

4. Ensure that all displays are signed with the correct sign 5. Down stock the bay to ensure that all items are available for sale 6. Clean and dust all displays.

LOWES CLEAN SWEEP DARK BAYS

Dark Bays The last step of this project is to walk the lighting area and record the location of any bays that are totally dark and that require an electrician. Please try to determine that the issue is not just a breaker tripped. If this is not the case please notate the category where the dark bay is i.e. Track Lighting, for example. Also, if there are any ceiling fan cloud tracks that are dark (no power to the entire track) notate these on the worksheet below. You will be asked to report this information

LOWES LIGHTING STORE BULB REFERENCE GUIDE The following pages show the Lowes store reference guide that outlines each bulb that is available for order and its proper usage. We need to ensure that the following is completed in every display that we install: Every fixture is to be lit using the correct bulb. Every bulb in a fixture should be the same. The photo shows the worst case. We should also correct any instance of more than one type of bulb in a fixture and ensure that every fixture has the correct bulb where possible. Please ensure that all displays have only 1 type of bulb and that it is the correct bulb for that fixture
