what a true friend and father you have been to me. Now I have to let you go because God has another soul He wants
to set free. I promise you I will make you happy and be the
man you wanted me to be.

Gary, more affectionately known as “Walla Walla”, was born
Tuesday, December 26, 1967 in Overton, Texas to the parentage of Paul, Sr. and Thelma Ford Steber. He departed
this life on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at his residence in
Kilgore, Texas.
Early in life he united with Kilgore Baptist Church where he served as an usher and in the youth choir. He later became a
member at Red Oak Missionary Baptist Church and ultimately completed his Christian journey as a member at Greater St.
John Baptist Church in Kilgore.
He played football and baseball while at Kilgore High School as a member of the Class of 1986. He later attended Tyler Junior
College, Navarro College and recently received his Certificate
in Business from Kilgore College.
Early in his work career he was employed by Norris Cylinder
Company. For the past 19 years he was self-employed owning
and operating The Finishing Touch Detail Shop.
He was known for his impeccable sense of style in his dress attire. Cars and music were his other passions. Since his
personality lent to him never meeting a stranger he was
friendly and well received by everyone that he met.
On March 20, 1993, he married Sharon Lavona Lee and two
sons were born to the union. He became a loving father that
doted on his sons and daughter.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his wife, Sharon Lee Steber
of Longview, TX; a son, Cameron Steber of Longview, TX; a daughter, Raven Paige Tullos of DeSoto, TX; parents, Paul, Sr.
and Thelma Steber of Kilgore, TX; sisters, Bridget Steber of Arlington, TX and Nina Steber; brothers, Derek Steber of
Longview, TX and Paul Steber, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; a grandson, Tacoha Henson of DeSoto, TX; great grandmother,
Ruth Ford of Tyler, TX; great aunt, Ida Ford of Tyler, TX; aunts, Clemestine Houston and husband Charles of Conroe,
TX and Doris Horn of Houston, TX; uncles, Melvin Ford and wife Pat, Dwain Ford and wife Brenda, Danny Ford and wife
Carolyn, Delton Ford and wife Novie, Abner Ford and wife Vickie all of Tyler, TX and Lincoln Steber of Houston, TX; his
favorite only niece, Chloe Steber and her mom, Ebony Jones, his sister from another mother both of Longview, TX; father
and mother-in-law, Roy and Nelwyn Lee of Overton, TX; a sister-in-law, Jennifer Lee of Temple, TX and brother-in-law,
Roy Lee, Jr. of Fresno, CA and a host of other relatives and
friends.
