Irma & Ernesto Robledo

Hispanic Ministry

As I write this article, I’m reminded of the positive results of the pandemic that we have experienced. At first, it was very difficult for us to process and learn to cope with the isolation and social distancing that we’re required to practice. As time has gone by, I have witnessed what God has been doing in His church.

The families have gotten closer to each other by praying and depending from God for their needs. We’ve learned to communicate better among the church members, and our faith has gotten stronger. I praise the Lord for what He has taught us in these difficult times. Pastor: Ernesto Robledo, D. Min.

Pastor: Ernesto Robledo, D. Min.

Lance Mauldin

Youth & Children Pastor

Greeting Beloved,

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1st Peter 5:10

Our church family has just experienced a trial and some

are still struggling with it. My hope for this trial and the trials to come for FBC Robbins is that we as a church will restore, confirm, strengthen, and encourage one another in love. Trials of any kind are supposed to work in great ways if we allow them. I want to take this time to share with you that trials are purposeful. God is in control and He is sovereign in all things including trials. They are meant to do two things: prune you into the image of Christ & bring about unity. In John chapter 15, Jesus shares

with the disciples an apology about pruning branches. As this passage is very familiar with us, I would just like to share that there was purpose in pruning and conforming to the branches to produce fruit. So the purpose of trials is to produce fruit. After this analogy is given, Jesus gives us the command for loving others which hopefully will bring about unity among believers.

— in love and in

Christ’s service, Lance Mauldin

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4
