Love never Fails

• 1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

• 1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Love Never Fails

• 1 Cornithians 13:8• Things fail eg watch• Relationships fail• But love never fails. • How is this possible? • What kind of love is this? • And in what way it never fails?

Meaning of Agape

• Act of the mind • Romans 12:20 - Therefore if

thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

• John 13:34 - A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

1. Jesus loves us before we think of HimRomans 5:8 - But God

commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

He loved us while we were busy with our own indulgences, not sparing a thought for Him.

Jesus loves us enough to notice us, choose us and die for us!

2. Jesus devoted 7/24 of His time for others

Jesus came to give His life a ramson for our sins

Each day Jesus lived, He used it to serve us.

Only time He had for himself was when He spent time with God

John 17:15 - "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil."

3. His love knows no colours, race or statusJesus saved his highest praises for

other races – 10 lepers, Good Samaritian etc

Matthew 8:10 - When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

Whatever your station in life, Jesus reaches out to where you, with His grace to turn your heart back home to God

Mary, Martha and Lazarus embraced Him

Judas betrayed Him

He longingly watched the rich young ruler walked away

Always reaching out, never forcing

Revelation 3:20 - "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him…”

apostles,

A prositute among His supporters.

Never before has a rabbi ever washed his disciple - John 13:4

He do not shun the poor, despised or marginalised

Luke 7:34 - The Son of man is come eating and drinking… a friend of publicans and sinners!

Mark 10:14 - But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me

He had a busy schedule

Children bring nothing to the table

A distraction at best

But much displeased

7. Jesus loved the church so much

Acts 20:28 - Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Jesus built the church, died for her and is sustaining her.

Do we love it as much to build it, or do we divide and destroy it?

His entire life is one that radiates with grace, mercy and kindness
