B 52028-1 White 1PILLOW BACK:(1) 15-1/2” x WOF strip. Subcut to:__(1) 15-1/2” x 13-1/4” rectangle__(1) 15-1/2” x 13-1/2” rectangle

C 52025P-X Multi ⅜

SCARF:

(1) 22” x 22” square from panel. Cut with a 1/4” of the contrast background fabric around the square__

Additional Requirements:

1/2 yard white light weight woven fusible interlining for pillow face cut to 22” x 15-1/2” rectangle(1) 22” X 16” oblong pillow form for insert (found on Amazon.com)

Special Notes:

** All seam allowances are 1/4” wideMake sure you take your time to cut and sew carefully.

PILLOW ASSEMBLY: Diagram 1

Pillow Face:1. With wrong sides together, place the fusible interlining on to thepillow face. Following the manufacturer’s recommended instructions, adhere the fusible. This will keep the pillow nice and crisp. Set aside.

Pillow Back:2. Fold short end of (1) 15-1/2” x 13-1/4” backing rectangle 1/4” towardthe wrong side and press flat. Fold an additional 1” and press flat. 1”Edge stitch to create hemmed edge as shown in Diagram 1.

3. Take 15-1/2” x 13-1/2” rectangle and on one short end, fold fabric toward the wrong side 1/4” and press flat. Fold an additional 1/4” and press flat. Edge stitch open edge.

4. With right sides facing down, overlap so that the piece with the narrow hem is on top. The final measurement should be 22”. Pin the sides together to hold in place. The overlap is approximately 3”. Diagram 2

5. Add an edge stitch on each end to hold the overlaped sections in place. Diagram 2

Finishing:6. With right sides together, place face on back and sew around the outside of the pillow shell on all 4 sides. Clip corner seam allowance and cover stitch seam allowance edges or add a tight zigzag stitch to prevent raveling. Turn and press.

7. Add a pillow form to complete your pillow.

Special Note: Pillow form with be longer than the pillow but it will make a nice fluffy pillow when done!

SCARF ASSEMBLY:

1. Turn the edge of the scarf 1/4” toward the wrong side on all 4 sides and press. (The background contrast edge will be folded to the inside and not seen.) Clip corner fold to reduce bulk. Diagram 3 Diagram 32. Turn an additional 1/8”- 3/16” toward the wrong side so that you cover all of the first fold and press. Machine or hand stitch around the edge to finish the scarf.
