  1. 1. LoveFieldBy Tufayel Ahmed
  2. 2. CameraworkThe short film has a variety of long shots and panning shots, to drawthe audience into the film. In the shot below it shows an establishingshot used to set the location of the short film by giving us a sign post ofexactly where the film is set. Also the background confirms to theaudience how deserted and lonely the place looks, as the shot isempty and still and shows not life just yet.
  3. 3. Editing Love field uses various straight cut and clean cuts in order to try buildsuspense and curiosity as to what has the man really done to this girl.Fast cut shots have been used to build suspense, the film is supposedto make the audience feel tense and not sure of what is going on. Sowatching this man glance at the raven makes it looks like he has beencaught out for what he has done by the raven so I think, the raven isonly there for metaphoric reasons. They use a shot reverse shot to seethe facial expression of the man and the raven, to intensify the situationto make it look like someone had just taken life not bringing life to earth.
  4. 4. Sound The camera pans to a beeping phone that has probably lost signalwhich shows the desperation that the character is in. There is the use ofambient sound of a woman screaming in pain and a close up of a clothcovered in blood which adds to the dark theme being portrayed in thefilm. The sound we hear of the single cawing raven adds furthersuspense to the scenes. It is the loudest sound throughout the film andwe can see that the bird makes the man in the film nervous which buildsa very horrific picture in the mind of the audience to the character of theman. The ravens loud echoing will give away what the man is doing toanyone who is within a close enough distance to hear the animal.
