Everything About One Thing

The book looks at the life of the Mini through different eras, people’s opinions of the tiny car and the celebrations of this Brittish classic.

Brief: Everything About One Thing

Olympic Poster

The inspiration for this poster came from the style of 1940/50 eras. The reason for choosing cycling, is that it is a sport that can be enjoyed by all, and so it has been designed with the ideal to appeal to everyone.

The outcome has been scrren printed using a two colour speration. The reason for choice of colour is that it doesn’t relate to any particular nation.

Breif: A second year project, to design an A3 poster based on one sport which takes place during the Olympic games. No photographs are to be used, and only have given information. The offical logo must also be on the poster, and you are limited to two colours.

On the Radio

The radio show that I was allocated was BBC’s In Tune. During the week of listening to the show the music consisted mostly of opera and classical, a genre I generally don’t listen to. For me this made me think of period drama programs, and so went with this theme to design my responce in the form of a poster.

Breif: A first year project, in which over a period of a week, you must listen to the given radio show, then design and produce a responce in a form of your choosing.

I Read The News Today

Each of these posters are a responce to a news article, during the summer of 2012. Each story are linked through being about animals or birds.

The reasoning for choosing these particular articles, is that during the year of 2012, the news has mostly been about three things; money/debt, war and the Olympics. I felt the lesser known, more quirky stories had an appealing escapism about them.

Brief: Throughout a number of weeks, you must collate national/international news. Articls of cultral, social or issues that resonate with you. Then you are to design a responce, in a form of your choosing.
