Forest FloorOn the Forest Floor ,plants that don’t need much sunlight grow there. Plants like fungus and mushrooms grow on the Forest Floor. Some Insects will hide under mushrooms to use it as shelter.

Understorey

The Understorey keeps most of the animals in this layer warm because of it’s humidity.

Animals that live in theUnderstorey

• Boa constrictor • Poisonous Dart Frog• All Insects

CanopyVery heavy rain will get to the ground easily because it brakes through the leafs easily .

Animals in the Canopy :• Monkeys • Fruit Bats

EmergentDid you know that there is a tree in the Emergent layer and it’s grown up to 200 feet tall !!!Some trees in the Emergent layer have grown as tall as skyscrapers. There are animals such as ,Monkeys ,Snakes and Insects. The trees in the Emergent layer are like umberellas because there branches create a swirl.
