CLOSING IN ON THE TOP: The Dodgers will continue their 10-

game road trip (2-1), as they will begin a three-game matchup against

the National League Central’s Cincinnati Reds tonight. After taking the

important three-game set from Colorado with a 9-6 victory yesterday,

Los Angeles now trails the first-place Rockies by just 0.5-game for the

division lead in a tight race at the top of the National League West. The

Dodgers have picked it up in crunch time as they have now won 11 of

their last 15 games since August 24 and have also gone 4-1 in five

games on the road during that time. Following the three-game set

against the Reds, the Boys in Blue will travel to St. Louis for a four-

game weekend series to close out the 10-game road trip.

The Dodgers have won five of their last six road games and

are currently 39-29 (.574) on the road this season. The clubs

.574 winning percentage is the second best in the National

League away from home, trailing just the Atlanta Braves.

SEEING RED: The Dodgers look to bounce back against the Reds as

they were swept by Cincinnati in a four-game series at Dodger Stadium

earlier in the year (May 10-13). It was the first time the club was swept

by the Redlegs in a four-game set since August 5-8, 1976, losing all

four-games at the Ravine. Despite the four straight losses, the Dodgers

have held the upper hand against Cincinnati, winning 17 of 24 games

against the Reds since the start of the 2015 campaign.

The Dodgers swept the Reds in a three-game series last year

in Cincinnati and have won their last five games at the Great

American Ball Park. Since the beginning of the 2014 season,

the Boys in Blue have won 10 of 14 games in Cincy.

WOOD WORK: Left-hander Alex Wood will take the mound for the

Dodgers tonight for his team-leading 27th start of the season as he looks

to collect his ninth win of the year. Despite recording a no-decision in

his last outing a week ago against the Mets at Dodger Stadium, Wood

allowed just one run on five hits and struck out three over 5.0 innings.

In his last 13 starts since June 16, the southpaw has been very effective,

going 7-1 with a 2.39 ERA (20 ER/75.1 IP) and holding hitters to a .229

average. During that span, he has allowed three runs or fewer in each

start, which according to Stats LLC., is tied for the third longest active
