Bo. La formazione classica ha orientato i suoi interessi primari verso le lingue antiche, la

decifrazione, la dimensione sociolinguistica e identitaria delle varietà italiche, la diacronia

linguistica. Risultato di queste ricerche, oltre ai numerosi articoli, sono le monografie come La

Tavola bantina, 1983, Le iscrizioni della lucania preromana, 1990, La Tavola di Agnone. L'iter

delle interpretazioni: 1848-19931996, (con A. Prosdocimi) Lingua e cultura intorno al 295 a.C. tra

Roma e gli italici del nord, 2002. La sua ricerca si estende anche alle lingue moderne e ai loro

sviluppi nella nuova dimensione della socialità, agli aspetti della competenza linguistica, ai processi

cognitivi. Su questo secondo versante si collocano, oltre alle pubblicazioni più recenti ('UTENTE',

Pubblicazioni recenti riprendono l’analisi dei testi antichi come La problematica dei testi oschi:

forme, contenuti e storia alla luce del metodo, 2014; “Il gesto e la parola”, oggi come allora?,

2015. Una introduzione allo studio del linguaggio nel suo rapporto con la storia dell’evoluzione

umana è il volume L’idea viene parlando, 2016.

The classical training has focused its primary interests to the ancient languages, deciphering, the

size and sociolinguistic identity of varieties Italic, the diachronic linguistics. Result of this research,

in addition to numerous articles (most lately, Studi Etruschi LXXVI, 1913, and Quaderni Istituto di

Roman Lucania, 1990; Table of Agnone. The process of interpretations: 1848-1993, 1996, (with A.

Prosdocimi) Language and culture around 295 BC between Rome and the northern Italic, 2002. His

research also extends to modern languages and their development in the new dimension of social,

aspects of language competence, cognitive processes. On this second front rank, in addition to the

most recent publications ('USER', 'USE' and European forms comparable, in Homo utens, 2004;

The Case, Fortune, and the luck of the 'case', in The Enigma of Chance, 2007; The words of the

literary culture, in Utopia, 2012; (with Liviana Giombini) Disturbances in the Net Generation: a
