Two Program Options Available Earn a Master’s Degree from the SDSU Department of Dual Language and English Learner Education with a specialization in Critical Literacy and Social Justice(Option 1) or an Outside Specialization (Option 2).
This MA Program provides teachers and other educational professionals with skills in critiquing current school programs from social equity, social justice and global perspectives. Applications open October 1 and close March 1. To apply, go to http://go.sdsu.edu/education/admissions/dle-ma.aspx.

Requirements • Required Courses (18 units)• Field Research Project• Comprehensive Exam• Meet requirements of grad. division• Choose a Specialization from the
options below (12 units):
Option 1: Critical Literacy and Social Justice – blended on-line and in- person option allows you to earn a concurrent professional development certificate in ELD or Dual Language.
• Option 2: Outside Specialization – allows an outside focus (e.g. in Educational Leadership, Linguistics, Latin American Studies, Math, etc.)
