Principals Message
Maureen Nixon
Last Wednesday night, Goulburn North Public School
celebrated a productive and memorable year.
The evenings proceeding were directed by our outgoing
school leaders and the audience were addressed by our
Principal Mrs Nixon, P & C President Mrs Campbell,
SRC President Hollie Reid and Secretary Charli-Rose
Ellis, Sports Co-ordinator Mr Mewburn and all our
primary teachers. A very special thank you to both The
Hon. Pru Goward for attending and Mr Jim Webb for our
official presentation night photos. Thanks especially to
Mr Taylor for his organization of the night.

Our final Newsletter for the year. Thank you for contributing to a highly successful year for Goulburn North Public School.
I thank the staff for all of their hard work throughout the year, thanks also to the P&C, the Canteen and clothing pool. Thank you to the many parents who support our school in so many ways and thank you to the children of Goulburn North Public School for all your efforts throughout 2014, and thank you to our fantastic children!
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season, we look forward to seeing you again in 2015. We are looking forward to a fantastic year!

Dux Award
Dux of the School is awarded to the Year 6 student who
has academically excelled in many areas of the
curriculum throughout the year and achieved top marks
for their work. The honour this year was awarded to
Maddison Seath. Congratulations Maddison
Harold Howard Memorial Award for Effort
Charli-Rose Ellis received this prestigious award for
2013. The Harold Howard Memorial Award for Effort is
an award donated by the family of Harold and Alison
Howard who attended Goulburn North as students,
followed by many family members. This award is given
to a student who always tries to do their best both
academically and as a school citizen. Well done Charli-
Rose.
Greg Pearce Memorial Award for Citizenship
The Greg Pearce Memorial Award for Citizenship is an
award donated by the family of Greg Pearce, school
captain elect of Goulburn North Public School, who
tragically died on his way to school in 1982. The award is
presented to a student who is considered by the Goulburn
North staff to be a good citizen of our school: someone
who sets a good example to others, is always courteous
and co-operative and is enthusiastic about their
involvement in all school activities. Jaime Craig and
Nicholas Chalker shared this award for 2014 and
became the 32nd
recipients of this award, presented by
Mrs Winslet. Congratulations to you both.
Pru Goward Reading Award
Tyler Mullins of 3/4T was this year’s recipient of the
Reading Award donated by The Hon. Pru Goward
M.P. , given to a student as encouragement to a
promising reader identified by the staff and our
librarian Mrs Morris. Congratulations Tyler
Mulwaree High School Year 7 Scholarships
Mr Martin Purcell, Principal of Mulwaree High School
awarded two students with financial support for
educational expenses as they commence high school in
2015 Maddison Seath received the Academic
Scholarship and Dwayne Sakiasi received the
Citizenship and Leadership Scholarship.
Announced at Presentation Night were our
incoming 2015 School Leaders.

A resounding, remarkable and memorable performance
was on display last Thursday afternoon for the Infants
Presentation and Concert. All students, teachers, and
helpers should be very proud of the wonderful production
and congratulations to all students for a great 2014.

big man in the red suit was bombarded with questions
when he visited the children. Wonder what the students

Our school is very lucky to have a
wonderful team of volunteers. From
canteen helpers, reading helpers,
volunteers for school camps or any other
activity around the school, and we would
like to say a big THANK YOU!
Another special visitor to our school last week was the
Mulwaree High School Rock Band. Our school
students thoroughly enjoyed the performance under the
infants COLA.
