The Cadre Diary. The Cadre Diary is a revolutionary booklet. A body of political knowledge and revolutionary consciousness. The Cadre Diary was launched on the 5th of April 2016, on Lookout Masuku day, and is a product of the Lookout Masuku Conscious Group, an intelligenstia and conscious group that aligns itself with ZAPU and various young people associations.

Volume 1 of the Cadre Diary is called The Cadre, dedicated to the comrade himself, whom after having received sufficient training can become a cadre and educate others. It is a well of information, quotes and ideas pieced together, designed to educate and inform. The people of our country, who have seen the beginnings of this country, those who have endured the trials and strains of oppression, in the past and today cannot be ignored. The people are an inexhaustible well of information.

Therefore The Cadre diary is a combination of the people's ideas. The combination of the people's views, hopes and grievances. As The Cadre Diary is inspired and based on Lookout Masuku, every volume shall involve a piece on the late Lieutenant General. Volume 1 shall be followed on by other volumes which shall touch on various subjects on the history of our people, culture, poetry, revolutionary ideas and the exposing of lies. Thank you for the support and your patience.

“Educate ourselves, educate other people, the population in general, to fight fear and ignorance, to eliminate little by little the subjection to nature and natural forces which our economy has not yet mastered. Convince little by little, in particular the militants of the Party, that we shall end by conquering the fear of nature, and that man is the strongest force in nature. Demand from responsible Party members that they dedicate themselves seriously to study, that they interest themselves in the things and problems of our daily life and struggle in their fundamental and essential aspect, and not simply in their appearance. Learn from life, learn from our people, learn from books, learn from the experience of others. Never stop learning. Responsible members must take life seriously, conscious of their responsibilities, thoughtful about carrying them out, and with a comradeship based on work and duty done. We must practice revolutionary democracy in every aspect of our Party life. Every responsible member must have the courage of his responsibilities, exacting from others a proper respect for his work and properly respecting the work of others. Hide nothing from the masses of our people. Tell no lies. Expose lies whenever they are told. Mask no difficulties, mistakes, failures. Claim no easy victories.”

Amilcar Cabral.

Concerning Education & The Party.

HEROES AND COMMANDERS.

“The test of courage and commitment is not when there is no danger or uncertainty; but when one puts his life on the line against terrible odds and there is absolutely no certainty of victory. We have been down this path and have been hardened by the many lashes of history. We shall be home, waiting when New Zimbabwe comes.

Zimbabwe, we cannot turn back!”

– Bernard Magugu.

“Only if you treat the population with respect do you find it easier to fight the enemy. We are fighting for the liberation of these people. If we kill them, whom are we going to rule?”

– Lt General Lookout Masuku

We Must Not Fear The Enemy!

When we see the enemy, simply because he has a weapon in his hands, we must not be frightened to death like a rat who sees a cat. We must not be afraid of approaching him or infiltrating into his midst in order to carry out sabotage. We are men; our enemies are also men; we are all men, so what should we fear? The fact that he has weapons? We can find a way to seize his weapons. All we are afraid of is getting killed by the enemy. But when we undergo the oppression of the enemy to such a point as this, how can any one still fear death? And if we do not fear death, then what is there to fear about the enemy? So when we see the enemy, whether he is many or few, we must act as though he is bread that can satisfy our hunger, and immediately swallow him. - Mao TzeTung
