ProgressionThroughout the process of the transformation from the skills I had when producing my preliminary task to the final product of my magazine I have developed my understanding of the variety of tools available within Adobe Photoshop CS3 and their uses.

I developed many skills throughout this process, for instance, as you can see within my preliminary task I only had knowledge of particularly basic skills, I wasn’t aware of how to rotate text, which is useful to be a tool included within my final product due to the impression on canted, rebellious, distorted themes, reflected within the rock culture itself.

Also, I wasn’t initially aware of the drop shadow tool, therefore I created two text boxes which read ‘York College’ and produced them in contrasting colours to distinguish one from the other, having one in black gave it the drop shadow effect, however I didn’t employ this tool until the final product stage when I was aware of the technique which deemed to be far less time consuming and resulted in a more in depth professional look.
