Looking back at your preliminary task (the continuity editing task), what do you feel you have learnt on the progression

from it to the full product?

When I did my preliminary task, I did not know how to use a camera or how to do a shot reverse shot, or what the 180 degree was. After doing the task, it gave me a much better insight on the different kind of camera shots and editing techniques such as match on action. I also knew how to stick to the 180 degree rule and also how to film a shot reverse shot.

• Here is my preliminary task where match on action is being showed in the picture below:

The practice of match on action in the preliminary task helped me to do match on action in my main task.

Looking back at my completed product, I learnt many new things from the preliminary task. I learnt to take angled worms eye view shots and also the typical shots, such as long shots mid shots and close ups. While during the process of creating my opening sequence, I had also learnt that the tripod had to be balanced in a correct position otherwise the shot would look off.
