Lavender Springs Spa is a spiritually nourishing retreat on Psalms. You'll journey through the Psalms, studying the different kinds of songs, poems, and psalms that have inspired people for centuries. You’ll learn how the Psalms help us share our feelings, disappointments, celebrations, and doubts with a truly great listener: God. You’ll leave with a fresh approach to prayer that will grow your faith throughout the months to come.

We asked several students: “Why do you like coming to the Crosswalk after school program?” Brandon: “Crosswalk is a great place. I get to hang out with my friends in a good environment.  If I couldn’t come here, I might hang out with a bad crowd after school.”Bobbie: “We learn about God here. It’s a fun, interesting way to learn about God while hanging out with our friends.”

Recently, students who attend the after school program were given a copy of the Life Book, which is published by the Gideons. The Life Book is the Gospel of John with notes that help youth better understand who Jesus is and the importance of having a personal relationship with Him.  This resource is providing our volunteers and staff with opportunities to discuss the meaning and relevance of the gospel with many students! If you are interested in learning more about Crosswalk and how to be involved, please call Brian Proctor at 828.693.3493 or email him at [email protected].
