History

The year is 1933.

Walter Gander & Frank White

establish a new company to pack

and ship art internationally.

Following the death of

King Feisal of Iraq, we are

instructed by General

Kassem to transport the

King’s exquisite furniture

collection from our

warehouse to Baghdad.

We began life as specialists in the handling of fine art and antiques.

Now we’re the international name for a wide range of services from interior design project

management to contemporary installations.

Steadfast in our standards. Gander & White, for discretion, integrity and the utmost care.

We are entrusted to move the

world’s most famous cricket

trophy, The Ashes, from

Lord’s to the Victoria & Albert

Museum. It’s only the third

time in history The Ashes

has left Lord’s.

It’s the 70s, and we are

entrusted with shipping

the world famous

Cinzano Glass collection

as it travels the globe.

As the world returns to

normal following WWII,

we are in need of new

premises. In 1948 we

open a warehouse in

Earl’s Court.

In 1983 we celebrate

our golden jubilee.

In our 85th year

we are honoured to have

been granted a Royal

Warrant to Her Majesty
