The L ondon Internship Program offers a semesterof study and work in England’s exciting capitalcity. This program combines a professional intern-ship with coursework that examines a particularacademic area in the context of Great Britain’shistory, culture, and society and its role in modernEurope. Courses in each academic area are taughtby selected British faculty exclusively to studentsenrolled in the Boston University program.
Upon successful completion of a semester, studentsearn 1 2 Boston University credits.
HOUSINGStudent live in furnished apartments with otherstudents in BU Study Abroad L ondon's programs.The apartments are within walking distance of theBU L ondon Academic Center in South Kensington.They vary in size, configuration, and style of decora-tion. Most students (95%+) live in shared bedrooms,often in bunk beds, with ensuite shower room, ashared kitchen and living/dining room area. BritishPrograms staff and RAs live in BU's building alongwith the students, helping to ensure a high level ofmaintenance and security. There is WiFI access inthe residences.ADMISSIONS
• Students are accepted into one of the program’s 8different academic tracks, which cover a widevariety of fields
• All students must complete the full 1 2-creditprogram, enrolling in two academic courses andone internship course

SUMMER 2014 PROGRAM COST$15,1 50. Cost includes tuition, housing, overseasmedical insurance, and emergency travel assistancecoverage. Financial aid is available.
PROGRAM SCHEDULEThe First Six Weeks (Core Phase)Students take one core course in their academic area to prepare for their internships, and one elective course.Each student also meets with the program’s internship placement advisors to refine his or her area of workplacement according to ability, professional goals, experience, and work habits.
The Final Five Weeks (Placement Phase)Students participate in L ondon’s work life throughassigned internships that complement their particularacademic concentration and personal goals. Studentswork full-time, four days a week.
Internship areas include Advertising, Marketing &Public Relations; Arts & Media; Economics &Finance; Journalism; Management; Politics &International Relations; Pre-law; Psychology &Health Sciences.
